Description of 1971 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyene Factory Big Block AC Solid California Survivor!

NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!!

I have plenty of additional photos I could send to perspective buyers

Truck is for sale locally & other venues as well so auction may end without notice

1971 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyene Pick up, Long bed (127" wheel base)

This truck was purchased from the original owner in Red Bluff, California where it spent it's entire life mostly in a garage. It's 96 year old owner saved just about every document for the truck and kept it well maintained. He even kept the original dealer punch list from the Chevrolet dealer when he took delivery and the factory build sheet is still under the seat after 47 years as well!

Options include; Factory Big block 402, TH400 Transmission,

working,"Ice cold", dealer installed AC, PS, Power Disc Brakes, "quiet" factory dual exhaust, "working" Factory Tachometer with oil, temp, & amp gauges, head liner, carpet, CST door panels, deluxe two tone paint with deluxe wood grain trim, wood grain tailgate plaque, rear step bumper (after market), spare tire, tow hitch, trailer brakes/wires, CST hub caps, cargo lamp, new tires, GM camper style mirrors were added years ago (I planned to re-install the factory peep mirrors)

Truck was re-painted with the original colors lacquer paint in the mid 90's to save the body from rusting as the original paint was faded out from the California sun. Paint is good driver quality and does have some chips and scratches that should be addressed to preserve the body.

The 12 bolt rear seems to be a 373 non-posi though I have not pulled the cover to confirm this for sure yet

The engine runs strong, smooth, and quiet. It was just tuned up with new points, condenser, wires, plugs, Accel Super Stock Coil, carb cleaning, fuel filter, air filter, oil, oil filter. The auto choke still works as it should as well. The rebuilt transmission shifts so firm it will lay rubber when it hits second gear if you accelerate hard! The kick down also works as it should.

The engine and transmission were both rebuilt on March 31st, 1983 at 96,607 miles

The current documented mileage is now 140,800, there are many service records showing when the truck was brought in for work to prove the mileage is correct.

The engine and trans do drip a bit from sitting, but not terrible (typical Chevy)

The body, frame, and undercarriage of this truck are amazing! None of the floor supports are rusted nor are the inner rockers or cab mounts!
