Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28

1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z/28This is a real 1968 Camaro RS Z/28. Its a rust free car with no patches anywhere. It doesn't have paperwork to verify this but all of the tell tale signs are there including the following: 6. 00 RPM Tach. Shoulder Straps. 15" AY Tire Tag in the glove box. 15" DF Rims Coded to the car. larger fuel line. 4 piston calipers. 2 piece rotors. 4. 10 rear end. 4 leaf springs. exhaust hanger on the driver side. bolt holes in the tail pan for the guards (took them of didn't like them). I've owned it since 2002 and the man I bought it from had owned it since 1987. I do have a clean open PA title from the previous owner. Maine doesn't require a title prior to 1995 so I never did anything with it. There are few pieces to the vehicle that are not original to car which include the following: The motor is not the original motor. it is MO motor from another 1968 Z28. The hood is from a 1969 which was a popular swap back in the day. The master cylinder is aftermarket. the oil cap and filler tube are aftermarket. the wrong alternator fan for the year. I put new ball joints in it when I purchased it. The passenger rear quarter has been replaced some time ago with an original factory GM qtr panel. The transmission is an Muncie M21 4 speed but doesn't match the car. The carburetor is a off the shelf Holley. It is British Green which was a new color that rolled out in 1968 (7% of all Camaros came in British green that year) with a black vinyl top. There are a few small scratches and blemishes here and there but overall the car looks great. The drivers mirror is pitted bad and in rough shape. I'll try to located another one before the sale. It has a black bucket console with gauges. deluxe interior with the shoulder straps and the 6. 00 rpm red line tach. The factory vacuum operated headlight covers still function properly. There is a spot on the drivers side of the rear speaker deck that is has started to flake a little. The trunk of the car is clean and dry as a whistle. This thing is a real treat to drive and quite the looker. With the right owner. and a little bit of elbow grease I don't see why this couldn't be a Concours car. $1. 00 non-refundable deposit required within 24 hours of auction end no exceptions.
