Description of 1967 Chevrolet Impala RAGTOP

This was to be the first offering of R.A.T.I.C.K.L.E. Performance, the car was being prepped for the Mecum Auction. Sadly the parent company went under before the project could be finished. We took this car all the way down to the frame and started the build from there. My lead Fabricator was Danny Guerrero, although Danny now does Custom Harley's his expertise is evident throughout this build.
This car was to feature many upgrades and several were already installed, such as a Air Bag suspension kit by Air Ride. 4 wheel Disk Brake kit by WilWood, a 700R4 transmission, a Serpentine Belt Kit, and Red Urethane Bushings and Sway Bar Mounts throughout the suspension. I still have the Complete UnderDash A/C and Heater Kit.
Danny designed and fabricated several innovative items himself, such as a Aluminum Center Counsel, Aluminum Face-plates for the dash and Air Ride Switches, a Smooth Firewall, and Fully Boxed Trailing Arms for the rear suspension.
Since I will not be able to finish this build, I have decide to offer it to someone that will.

Did I mention I have Spare Parts? We were going All Out on this build so Everything was going to be new, fresh, or updated. I took a overview pic. of the New parts I still have for this build. I have stuff from Moroso. I have stuff from MSD. We were going to go with fuel injection so I have stuff from Holley, and Earls. We had made a smooth firewall, and we were going with a under-dashA/C kit from Vintage Air, I also have weather strip kits for the doors, hood, door locks, and convertible top.
Take a look at the stuff and you can also see the disassembly bins we used, parts were tagged and bagged as this build came apart. I still have most of the original interior, with trim, and the convertible top, gauge cluster, steeringcolumn, and seats.
You can't see it in the pictures but the underbelly is finished and is showroom quality. We took this car to the paint shop as two units, the frame, motor, and suspension, and the entire body on a roticery. The underbelly was painted with a specific theme in mind. The engine is black and red, the frame is black with red bushings and the car was to be silver with black stripes. I had the body shop make the hood smooth on the underside so we could do a novel idea. I wanted the stripes to continue into the engine compartment, down the hood, past the firewall, and under the car. Basically I wanted a mirror image of the outside of the car once you opened the hood. going with our color combinations we chose Black for the engine compartment, and then Red for the stripes. You can just see the stripes as they disappeardown the firewall, sadly they did not finish painting the hood.
Yes, I had Big Plans for this car. I am really hoping someone will step up and take it to the end of the build.
