Description of 1957 Chevrolet Corvette

This 1957 Corvette roadster has the original 283/220HP engine (block casting 3731548). The Vette has a 4 speed manual transmission but the low production # tells me that is was originally a 3 speed (# 457 off the production block - over 9000 were made that year). It is restored to the original look as it was in 1957. It is one of 550 produced in Cascade Green and White. with a new White soft top. I've owned the car for two years and bought it from a dealer in Ohio. It has the original Wonderbar Radio that plays tunes. It features an original heater. Generator Drive Tach. rebuilt windshield wiper motor. and a new aluminum radiator. Other options include courtesy lights. All gauges. interior lights. wipers. horn. etc are in working order. The stainless steel wheel covers are seen on the correct bias ply tires. This well dialed corvette starts and runs perfectly with great pickup from first gear. It shifts smoothly through all 4 gears. has a lot of power. and holds its own in highway driving. The interior is done using Al Knock carpeting. the panel fit and paint is in good shape - there are no crack or dings on the body. It has brought many best of show trophies.
