1948 CHEVROLET 3100 PICKUP TRUCK! SUBFRAMED WITH DISC BRAKES. POWER STEERING. TILT. 10 BOLT REAR END. 350 MOTOR. AND A 350 TURBO TRANSMISSION! This Chevy has had a lot of work done to it over the years. It has a second generation Firebird Subframe underneath it which makes the Truck handle exceptionally well. Located below you will find close to eighty photos of this Chevy. Mechanically. the Truck fires up every time. The 350 in it does not smoke or burn an excessive amount of fluid. It does have some lifter noise but it has not given us any issues at this point. The 350 Turbo transmission shifts out smoothly and has no issues. The power brake setup works extremely well. The Truck does not shake. shimmy. or pull when stopping. The power steering also works very well. The body of this Pickup has been gone through over the years and as you will see. the previous owner put in his own mesh of GMC parts in specific areas. Clearly these were small alterations that were done based on ones personal preferences. The external sheet metal of the truck seems to be solid all the way around. On the underside as well as the cab corners. there are some areas that have been patched. The paint on the Truck has age to it and has some decent Patina to it. All of the glass through out the Chevy is in good shape. The gas tank has been eliminated from the cab (far less dangerous now) and implemented in to the rear of the Truck. It has also been updated with a newer poly tank (never going to rust). The filler is now located in the bed of the Truck. The wheels and tires that are currently on it. are Astro Supremes with new Coker Redline tires. Originally. the Truck had a set of Nova Rallys with good Radial tires on them. If someone is interested in keeping the Nova Rallys and allowing us to keep the current wheel and tire setup that is on it. I would be able to reduce the price by a thousand dollars. If you'd like the original wheels and tires that came with it. you're more then welcome to check them out here: The interior has been updated. The instrument panel and tilt column is out of a second generation Firebird. The seats. they appear to be out of something a bit more modern. Everything looks great within the cab of the Pickup. The Pickup also has a newer/modern (safer) seat belt setup. The turn signals. headlights. dash lights. horn. wipers. radio. auxiliary gauges. everything works with the exception of the fuel gauge. speedometer. and clock. I'm currently looking in to them. This Truck would make an excellent investment vehicle for someone who just wants something to enjoy. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Pickup early as I do have it for sale "locally". My goal here is to sell the Pickup.
