You are bidding on a 1936 Chevy Rat Rod Truck Turn Key. The doors have original handles inside and out and window cranks up. The windshield cranks out. The cowl vent opens and closes. The cab has been chopped and channeled and has a steel floor with carpeting. The interior has been finished out with textured black FRP. The drivers seat is adjustable for those shorter drivers. Has new G-Force 4 point safety harnesses. Has Aluminum racing type steering wheel with a quick disconnect for the larger drivers. Has late model 12.4/1 power steering with KRC racing steering pump. Directional turn signals.The master cylinders are Wilwood with Wilwood dual cylinder mounting system and pedals. Has Autometer Quad classic gauge cluster with oil, temp, volts, fuel level, tach and speedo. The speedo is currently not hooked up. The fuel tank is a polished aluminum Coors 15.5 gallon beer keg mounted in the bed. Battery is mounted in the bed with a racing battery bracket. Has new aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The engine is a 396 BBC with rare polished Offenhouser Turbo Thrust 360deg 2 x 4bbl tunnel ram manifold on rectangular port heads. Has Holley electric racing fuel pump with Holley chassis mounted fuel filter, adjustable regulator and Holley pressure gauge mounted on the fuel block. Has vintage Offenhouser finned polished aluminum valve covers and crank case breathers. Engine has aluminum roller rocker arms and Pete Jackson gear drive. Has 2 Holley 4160 style vacuum secondary single feed side pivot carburetors that have just been rebuilt. Zoomie/Gasser style headers with baffles in each tube. The drive line is Saginaw 4 speed w/ Hurst shifter, aluminum flywheel and hydraulic throw-out bearing. The rear end is a Vintage Frankland quick change with a positrac third member, floating axels and Grand National racing style 5 x 5 hubs with new bearings and seals. The rear brakes are vintage Hurst Aerhart 4 piston polished calipers on vented rotors. The rear tires are BF Goodrich Silvertown P235 75 R15 on steel wheels painted flat black. The suspension is primarily constructed from 29 Ford with transverse leaf springs front and rear. The rear has ladder bars constructed from the 29 ford wishbones modified to use spherical bearings for adjustability. The front wishbones are also modified 29 ford so that the leaf spring is in front of the 36 Chev grille and aftermarket T-bucket type boxed frame. The front axel is 29 ford and has been drilled for a nostalgic appearance. The front axel also has the original finned drum brakes with new 5.5 R16 Coker Classic tires mounted on Ford steelie wheels painted flat black. Has Jake chrome front and rear shocks. Stainless steel braided brake lines front and rear. Has clear Texas title in my name with a about to expire Texas antique license plate. Note: The ratrod runs great and is a blast to drive but buyer must be mechanically minded person willing to deal with the rudimentary basis of of 80 year old ratrod. You are bidding on a nostalgic hot rod and as such need to be aware that it does not handle or stop like a new car nor is it comfortable and quiet. |
