1984 Chevrolet K10 Silverado SWB~Original 38 year old Apple Red paint~Factory Short bed 4 wheel drive~Factory 5.7 liter 350cid v8 motor~California rust free Square body with a clean Car FaxNO RESERVE AUCTION

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a beautiful Apple red 1984 Chevrolet K10 factory short bed. This truck is California truck residing in the mild fertile climate of of California's world famous Napa valley wine country. The truck is a very solid example of a 38 year old truck that has been well kept in a good climate. It is not often you find a truck with original paint on it that is 38 years old as most trucks especially4x4s were beat up and used as working trucks. The original 350 motor has been rebuilt and runs great. Don't miss out on this opportunityto own a factory red short bed 4x4 before it's too late.1973-87 Chevy pickup trucks or "Squarebodies" have seen a steady increase in their values simply because they are starting to become harder to find in decent condition especially the 4x4 models. Various experts and publications alike have predicted the classic 4x4 truck market is the next big market to explode.(Hagerty's Marchissue just marked 73-87 Chevy c/k trucks are the number 1 hottest vehicles to buy.)The current market is proving that putting your money into a 4x4 truck is a good bet. Just like muscle cars a 10-15 years ago this rapid increase in demand due to dwindling supply has spawned many aftermarket parts companies to sell aftermarket replacement parts for these American trucks. The most desirable models lead the pack and when it comes to 73-87 Chevy/GMC C/K trucks, most certainly the K models are the more desirable and the short bed versions of the K models are the most desirable.

Cosmetically this truck is in good condition. It has a great look being a red short bed with the stock rally wheels sitting on 32 inch tires. The solid Apple red paint is the original 38 year old paint and looks fantastic. However it is not perfect there are places that the paint is thinning and has fallen off giving this truck a nice subtle patina. The truck still has the original rock chip guards in front of the rear wheels another sign of originality. For the most part it is a very straight truck except for some of the obvious dents. The inside of the bed has not been beat up which is a sign this truck wasn't used as a work truck. All the chrome shines nicely, there are no cracks in the windows. Underneath has no rust and in very nice shape, there are many sections especially by the wheel wells the red paint is very visible again more signs of originality. Cosmetically overall this truck is in very nice shape for a 38 year old truck with original paint.

Interior wise this truck is in decent shape. The original Burgundy interior was replaced with a Black interior for no other reason than the previous owners personal preference. The dash has no cracks, the seat has no rips, the carpet looks great. The original steering wheel has been replaced. The AC does not work however all the fans are operable. The headliner looks great as well and does not sag, which is common with these trucks.

Mechanically this truck is in solid condition. The original 350 has been rebuilt some years back and runs good. It has a few bolt on goodies like an Edelbrock performance intake, edelbrock, valve covers, a mild cam, headers and a single Magnaflow muffler. Personally a true dual setup would be better but it still has a solid rumble to it. The original smog equipmenthas been removed and the factory AC is not hooked up. Because the smog equiptment is not hooked up the Check engine light is on. I do have all the original equipmentas well as the original air cleaner that go with the truck. The transmission has also been rebuilt, the brakes may need new pads soon as they are beginningto squeak. All the lights are functional and work. The front shocks have been replaced with Fox shocks, This is a truck that is safe to drive in all conditions.
***Please ONLY BID with intention of owning this truck. I will be making contact with high bidders before the auction ends to ensure all questions and concerns are answered.***

Hagerty Classic Car Insurance, the leader in insuring classic vehicles also making them a leader in knowing classic car values. Has recently issued in their February 2018 issue that the 73-87 Chevy C/K truck is the HOTTEST vehicle right now and the best bet to invest your money into because they are rising in values faster than any other classic car/truck. I cannot included these links however please ask me and I can provide several interesting articles about how these squarbodies are the most popular among collectors and enthusiast alike.

Don't miss out on this rare find

They are only original once. It would be difficult to replace this 84 K10 with original paint in actuality it is difficult to find any car or truck especially a General Motors product much less a 4 wheel drive truck with 38 year old paint. That is fact. Original paint is original paint it's impossible to duplicate because trucks were purchased for work and over a period of years common sense dictates that by this age most are worn out especially 4 wheel drives that had a more limited production geared to people who needed 4 wheel drive in 1984 (unlike today) typically in snow country where rust is an issue that is not the case with this vehicle.

In reality anybody can piece together an old Square Body truck with cheap Taiwanese and Chinese reproduction parts bought on the internet .Those reproduction body, trim, interior parts are in my opinion all of an inferior quality than what was originally made by General Motors To me it seems crazy to bring an American classic back to life with cheap Asian made reproduction pieces but the fact is GM doesn't make them anymore and fewer and fewer survivors are left at any price.

Anybody can restore a truck but you can't remake original.

If you are looking for the real deal this is it if you have any questions or concerns regarding this vehicle please ask any questions before you place a bid. This vehicle is being sold with NO RESERVE and will sell to the last bidder. If you are interested in making an offer Please dont email and ask what I will sell it for it is being sold to the high bidder but reserve the right to sell it if the price is right. I am really not sure what the value is but I am sure it's a one of a kind that can't be duplicated

Thank you and good luck
