Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Hardtop

1968 Camaro hardtop survivor. Original numbers matching engine, 4 speed trans and 12 bolt posi rear. California built car shipped to Penn. in 1977 and garaged in 1985. Car was purchased from there by a fellow in N.J. and I acquired it from him. This is a rare find of an unrestored classic. Black standard interior is a 9.5 out of 10, body has it's well fadedoriginal factory Corvette Bronze paint and has never been apart. Only non original paint is the front header panel and rear spoiler. Trunk and floors are solid, there is very minor rust (not rot) on the bottom of the front fenders and bottom corners of the rear windshield. The rear quarters have some rust through behind the tires. The upper lips of both rear fender wells were crudely trimmed (to fit bigger tires?) but isn't noticeable with the wheel trim moldings in place. Any rust/rot can beeasily repaired with minor metal work and no need for panel replacement. Suttle add-ons arethe vintage traction bars, blow shield, driveshaft loop, headers, aluminum intake, Corvette valve coversand Holley carb. All original tinted glass. Engine runs awesome, trans shifts nice and the car is ablast to drive. Very tight, no squeaks/rattles. Power steering andpower front disc brakes. Everything works, all the lights, heater controls, e-brake, turn signals, back-up lights and even the key buzzer. Fun to cruise with and gets a lot of attention. Is it shameful to disassemble and paint ? It's only original once. You decide. John 774-five three five-1O76
