Description of 1992 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4X4

Up for auction: a full custom 92 Chevy K1500 on 42 inch Super Swamper TSL’s. I built this truck for my best friend and half way through the project he decided to get married and the project was set aside for 4 years until his wife decided it was time for me to finish it to sell, lucky for you his loss can be your gain since the parts alone cost more than we are asking. I have the title in my name and am the one that will make all decisions on selling. Truck has less than 500 miles on it and was finally completed 2 weeks ago and no expense was spared when building it with ALL brand new parts. I will do my best to try and list all the major stuff but I am sure I forgot some stuff. This is not some stock truck with just big tires… The ENTIRE truck from frame to interior is completely custom. Please take a close look at all the pictures I included of the entire build process.

Frame was completely sandblasted and fully boxed and the front clip was changed out to an 80’s model K10 to fit the custom ordered front and rear springs from Alcan springs. Motor was built by local race car engine builder Ricky Shook and Mofitt Machine out of Fayetteville NC. Everything was machined and completely rebuilt, sparing no expense. The best of everything went into this engine with an Edelbrock Aluminum head and roller camshaft top end kit (summit racing part number EDL-2096. -Catalog states 460 HP and the truck feels like it). The 5 speed manual transmission and transfer case has been gone through completely and a Ram clutch was installed with a matching pressure plate. Custom drive shafts were made for the front and rear and they feed a 14 bolt corporate floater axle in the rear and I believe it’s a dana 44 HP on the front. Everything in the axles and braking system is brand new except the gear sets themselves, but they were removed, inspected, and looked great. These axles are a matched set off an 80’s model ford F350 truck so 4 wheel drive high and low work great. New MSD complete ignition including MSD 6AL box, blaster 2 coil and a MSD-8361 distributor and a Holley 650 double pumper carb feeds the top end. Also installed was PSC full hydraulic steering kit, makes turning the steering wheel feel easier than stock. Part number for the kit is PSC-FHK400P.

Everything else mechanically under the hood is new: all accessories, water pump, alt, power steering …etc. The interior has a full roll cage installed and everything inside is completely hand build, -aluminum and fiberglass. It has Omega Kustom gauges, including an electronic programmable speedometer that you can calibrate to the truck. Everything else inside the truck works as it should and all gauges display accurately.

The paint on the truck is 8 coats of candy brandywine over a silver metallic base coat painted after the truck was stripped to bare metal. When the sun hits it in the right direction you can tell how deep it is and the art work just pops. Truck has been airbrushed from front to rear with a flame, skull and spider web theme with matching built roll bar. The custom front and rear bumpers have had all the cheap plastic removed and been welded smooth. I would classify the truck as a 10 footer as from it sitting unfinished for 4 years outside the paint has imperfections here and there but looks close to perfect 10 feet away.

Again this truck has less than 500 miles on it but never had any problems driving it 2 hours away in one direction. I feel it would make longer hauls, I just never had a reason to go that far. Feel free to ask me for any more in-depth pictures or questions - I build the entire truck except the engine and can give you the motor builder contact if you have any other questions on it. You will never see one that looks just like it again, Thanks for looking.
