1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Original surviving big block Chevelle sold new at Gelhaus & Brost Inc. on 4/12/1971. 100% numbers matching born with driveline throughout - it has never been removed! Placer Gold exterior. Sandlewood interior. M20 4 speed car. This was the color combination used for the sales brochure in 1971. 100% original sheet metal which is very rust free. Most of the original undercoat is still intact and only surface rust where it is missing. No accidents or body damage ever. An older repaint which is showing its age but very presentable. The car was not jammed. therefore. has its original paint on inner fenders. door jams. and under deck lid. Excellent original interior with day two Hurst shifter and stereo head unit. Nothing cut or altered including the wire harness. Original owner saved the Muncie shifter and radio which could be re-installed. All gauges. turn signals. radio. heater. interior/exterior lights. radio. etc. work perfectly with the exception of the clock. All original and rare "clear" glass including windshield is in excellent condition. The most impressive aspect of this car is how it starts. runs. drives. and rides - like it did day one!
