Description of 1973 Chevrolet Blazer

This is a unique opportunity to buy a 73 K5 Blazer that the previous owner has partially restored. I own several K5 Blazers and need to clear space so I no longer have time to finish this one.

Here is the information the previous owner told us when we bought it (some unverified)
  • They had this vehicle since 1991
  • They knew the first owner and claimed it had 37K miles
  • They did a body off restoration several years ago and never completed it
  • Paint is nice, Copper Brown Metallic, there are a few cracks and bubbles
  • new windshield and some new weather stripping
  • 383 Small Block, Holly 750 double pumper, dominator intake, 1.6 roller rockers, world product heads 2.02/1.6, balanced bottom end, flow master exhaust
  • Has AC components, but needs custom brackets to clear tall valve covers (necessary for roller rockers)
  • 3.73 Gears
  • complete rebuild warn lockouts in the front
  • SM465 4 speed transmission previously rebuilt
  • NP205 Transfer case previously rebuilt
  • Replaced shocks and steering stabilizer
  • both driveshafts balanced
  • new carpet front and rear
  • factory roll bar needs paint and installing
  • tilt column tight and has no wear
  • was restored with cut 77 doors since 73-75 were unavailable at the time
  • owner claimed to have 35K invested in the truck

After we bought this, I took the grille, seats, and a few other parts to complete another K5 restoration. It sat in a garage for 2 years until we finally decided there are too many projects. The truck includes charcoal cloth seats from a 2001 silverado, they are sitting inside but uninstalled. several other parts and pieces are included to help you finish this K5 Blazer. It is not a perfect restoration and has some age since then, but it's a great candidate to finish up and enjoy as a nice daily driver. The engine starts and runs right now and the vehicle will move under it's own power, but this is not suitable to drive home as there are many unifinished things. The previous owner claimed the restoration was 90% complete, but there's a decent amount of work needed to finish everything. If i were finishing it, I would do some additional paint and body work to touch up some body panels. Please feel free to ask for more photos or come visit the vehicle in Ann Arbor before purchasing. There is a low reserve, but I may consider selling below the reserve to the highest bidder if that is not met.
