1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR HARDTOP MAGAZINE FEATURE CAR - SECOND FAMILY OWNER!!!

ICONIC 1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR - OVER 150 IMAGES

TRENDSETTER OF THE 1950s!

GENERAL BACKGROUND - SECOND FAMILY OWNER...The 1957 Chevrolet is considered by many to be the epitome of 1950s style. This example was purchased new in California by a doctor who cherished the car. Many years later, he willed the car to his daughter...with a provision that the car always be garaged overnight! She, in turn, sold it to the current owner - a noted Chevrolet enthusiast. Few cars have ever received the type of loving car that this classic has enjoyed since new.

CHEVY CLASSICS MAGAZINE FEATURE CAR...appropriately, this car's amazing ownership history and fine restoration earned it a feature article in Chevy Classics magazine. The car was in such amazing original condition, that a "frame on" restoration was undertaken. The results were exceptional, and this car once scored 980 out of 1000 points in a judging event. It also won the coveted "Best of GM" award at the prestigious World of Wheels show in Huntington, WV. Also in 2007, it won "The Car Classic Chevy I'd Like to Drive Home" award at the Winter National show in Orlando, FL.

LOCATION: Winder, GA (50 miles northeast of Atlanta)

EXCELLENT INVESTMENT...cars of the 1950s are highly coveted. The 1957 Chevrolet has long been considered a "Blue Chip" investment in the classic car world. For holding value and continued appreciation, few cars equal a 1957 Chevrolet.

OPERATIONS & DRIVE REPORT...personally, I have never ridden in a stock 1950s car that performed as impressively as this car. Brisk acceleration and a solid ride in a tight body were evident. All tested controls and features were operational...the only exception being the right front directional, which was out (likely a bulb).

THE FIRST 12 PICTURESwill give you a general overview of this very fine looking Bel Air, but if you are seriously interested...please be sure to look at ALL 150+ images because we want you to see EVERYTHING.

QUESTIONS?...after reviewing ALL the images and reading the entire description, please call Jim Murphy if you have any questions: 706-429-7924

MINOR IMPERFECTIONS...this car has been meticulously maintained since new by only 2 caring owners/families. As noted, it has won major awards and also once scored a truly impressive 980 points out of 1000. Experienced car collectors know that NO car is truly perfect, though to most show-goers, this '57 will appear to be very close to perfect.

It has been our goal to put the camera everywhere that a discerning buyer would look. In most cases, the camera is showing you how nice the car is. However, if we see a defect, we show it. There are several minor imperfections we noted in the photo-session that are shown at the end of the image strip at left.

ODOMETER NOTE...60,681 miles are indicated on the odometer. Due to its 1957-era 5-digit design limitations, it is impossible to confirm the actual mileage of the car since new with certainty, but we believe the indicated mileage to be true.
