Description of 1948 Chevrolet Other 5 WINDOW COE

FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER AND I CAN SELL IT EARLY AT ANYTIME. I CAN SPEAK ON THE PHONE IF YOU PREFER. 1948 CHEVY COE TRUCK This is a neat old cab over chevy truck. This is the rarer 5-window model. Very nice body. These COE's make nice rod projects. and 1947-1954 chevy/gmc models are one of the most popular for restoration. There are a lot of creative ways people have restored these trucks. They put flatbeds. ramp bodies. rollbacks. campers. and pickup boxes on them. Regular 8-9' stepside boxes from the era look great. I've seen custom crew cabs built out of them and suburbans/panels too. I have a picture link with many more pics of this truck I can send including undercarriage photos. I have experience shipping vehicles and can help with that process. I can email a link with more pics. just ask. MECHANICALThis truck has what looks to be and is most likely the original 235 six cylinder. I have never tried to run it. I think it could run with the usual fresh fuel. and tinkering. It has sat awhile. I have not even tried to turn it over yet. Clutch and transmission work. It steers. I haven't tried the brakes. Tires all hold air. I planned on getting it running but have not time. BODYThe body on the coe is exceptional. especially for a chevy with this bodystyle. They always have rust in the same places. 99. 99% of the time. The cab corners are normally rusted in these but these are clean. The exterior is very straight overall. The drivers door is tweaked a little but does close. The handle and latch are included but not pictured. The drivers floor has a small hole cut for something. which will be an easy fix. You can see it in the pictures. The floor pans also have a couple stress cracks which is not unusual for these trucks and will be a basic repair. No large dents in the exterior. Hood and passenger door open/close as they should. Seat frame is in it. but cushions are gone. Some of the flat glass needs replaced. The frame does have some rust pitting in the top of where the bed sat. It doesn't look structural. and I know most buyers are going to go with a newer type frame. Overall it's an excellent body for your project. OVERALLA nice chevy coe to start with. These COE trucks get tons of attention at the car shows. 1947-1954 seem to be the most popular and there are many online pics to see how they are fixed up. Below are some other neat coe's so you can see the potential. Thanks. and happy bidding. Sold as-is. Comes with notarized bill of sale. It hasn't been licensed for a LONG time and is out of the montana system. I can help you with the titling process. With a notarized bill of sale you can get a title in any state. There is some other paperwork you'll need to do as well as a VIN inspection. I've checked the VIN and it is proper for this truck. The VIN numbers in 1948 are specific to coe trucks. I would do the title work myself but I have many cars and it gets tedious. If your just doing one. it's easy.
