It won a 1st place award from the national Antique Automobile Club right out of restoration shop. This engine matching numbers (X77 code) Z28 is awesome. Cortez silver with a black vinyl roof and black stripes as well as the black interior makes for a stunning color combination. The restoration is flawless…. a true #1 car. Other desirable options include the rare JL-8 four wheel disc brake package and the chambered exhaust system which was an option for earlier 69 Zs. which this car is. This build is all about details…. smog pump. spark plug shields. all the correct clamps. hoses. markings and decals make it showroom new. Details:This Camaro is equipped with its completely rebuilt solid lifter DZ 302 engine (matching #s. all stock. balanced and blueprinted). Coupled to a Muncie 4 speed and a 4:10 posi trac rear end…. it scoots and sounds awesome with the chambered exhaust system. The engine bay. underside. interior and trunk are NEW and in immaculate condition. Outstanding Cortez silver paint with black vinyl roof/stripes shows off this car to its finest. It is base coat/clear coat and shines like a mirror. The sheet metal is super straight and the panel gaps are excellent. The vinyl roof is new. The bumpers are new triple coat chrome. The window moldings are all buffed and present like new. All the weather stripping is new and fits snug. All new emblems complete this show car’s exterior. The underside is also showroom condition…. new disc brakes. exhaust. gas tank. all lines. suspension components (including correct spiral shocks). sway bars. etc. Likewise for the engine bay; it retains its smog pump. correct date coded Holly 780 CFM carburetor. steel hood with cowl induction (not yet hooked up). spark plug shields. power steering and power brakes. The trunk is also detailed and contains a new Goodyear Wide Oval on a Rally rim with jack and floor mat. Everything has been replaced or restored to Day 1 condition or better. The interior is beautiful. with the correct option code 712 ‘Comfort Weave’ seats. a fairly rare option on a Z28 as is the wood steering wheel. This car is further equipped with a floor console and the U17 gauge option package. consisting of a tachometer. clock. fuel. oil amp and temperature gauges…. all of which work. Everything on the interior is new and presents exceptionally well. All the vents and heater controls work as they should as does the lights. turn signals. etc. The seat belts have been restored and it has the original Delco radio. The car sits upon new F70 Goodyear Wide Ovals mounted to Rally rims. just like it came from the factory on. The caps and trim rings are all new. The stance on the car is correct for an all stock car.
