This is a great 1962 Corvair Van that was featured on the cover of Corsa Communique magazine in June, 1986. This van stops, breaks, and starts. Groovy interior remodeled in the 1980's. The article in Corsa Communique gives lots of details on the vehicle and the remodeling that was done in the 1980s.Great surf rack on roof. Comes complete with table, chairs and bed in the back. This is a ONE OF A KIND, UNIQUE VEHICLE. IT ALWAYS TURNS HEADS!!!! The good: This van is very reliable and the interior is cosmetically fairly good. Carpet, bed upholstery and "puffy" interior ceiling all look new. interior is right out of the 1980s. It even has wood paneling in the back. Starts, brakes and stops well. Windows go up and down. The not so good, but fixable: The front seats need to be re-upholstered. We didn't touch them, because we wanted to keep them as they were in the 1980s. However, it's time they get redone. There are also a few dings and dents, as should be expected with a vintage vehicle. Cosmetically a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the interior and a 6 or 7 out of ten on the exterior. Mechanically, a 6 or 7 out of 10. Sometimes it will backfire, and if it sits for a while, it can take some coaxing to get started, but it always does.It does leak some, but nothing that has caused problems for us. This vintage vehicle is sold AS IS.IT IS A VINTAGE, OLDER VEHICLE. IT IS NOT SHOWROOM CONDITION. THERE IS NO INTENT TO LIST THIS CAR AS IF IT WERE. MECHANICAL AND COSMETIC ISSUES BEYOND WHAT'S LISTED ABOVE SHOULD BE EXPECTED AND ANTICIPATE WORK WILL NEED TO BE PUT INTO THIS VEHICLE. No warranty expressed or otherwise! ALL SALES FINAL.
