Description of 1963 Chevrolet C-10 "Custom"

This Custom Chevy C-10 Longbed pickup spent its life in arid West Texas up until two years ago and is now in Dallas. It was professionally restored about five years ago. This truck is as new and has not been customized except for the new carb, center tach and B&M center shifter, new tires and custom very throaty exhaust.
Pickups of this era had gas tanks under the bed which was a huge safety problem, so this one has a new custom safety tank installed behind the seat. That way if the truck were to get T-Boned you don't come out of it well-done... As a result, the tach works but the speedo and fuel gaugeto not work. Oil pressure, temp and electric gauges all work and are located below the dash. Oh, and it has a badass semi truck horn tucked inside the engine compartment
This is a very tough,heavy-duty truck with manual brakes and steering and no AC. It has a crazy amount of get-up-and-gofrom the chevy v8 motor. There are plenty of aftermarket kits if you want to drop about $2,000 to modernize this vehicle with power brakes, steering, coilovers, AC, etc., but I'm a retro guy so I've kept it pretty much to stock.
The odometer says 0512 but I believe this to be the number of miles since resto; total mileage is unknown.

This truck has the very desirable and collectible stamped metal rear bumper with the name of the original West Texas dealer.

You can't go anywhere in this truck without getting stares, thumbs up, smiles, etc. You can enter it in vintage truck shows if you want to win some hardware, or drive to show and shines with your buddies. It is not a trailer queen, it is a work truck, but you won't find a prettier truck. I added a locking metal tool chest and custom tilt top cover to protect the wood bed (which needs refinishing.) Some of the pictures show bed rails which were removed in favor of the custom tilt top; the bed rails are not available but the tool chest and cover go with the truck.
You won't find a prettier, or sturdier chevy pickup anywhere in Texas.Reserve set at $15,000. Compare that to $30,000+ for a same old same old plain vanilla Chevy Silverado or F*rd...
