Description of 1978 Chevrolet Camaro CLOTH

Survivor ready for proper restoration. This car is very heavily documented. Has the original build sheet, which checks out with both the vin tag and car. It also has some things I've never ran across before. The original order form and the original sales paperwork (not copies, original) which shows that in 1978 a 1973 Camaro was used as a trade in for this one at a price of 666.00. The build sheet is as nice as I've ever seen one. I bought this to restore it myself. However, I'm in the final stages of a frame off restoration of a 1967 Firebird 400 and I'm not going to have time. And I don't want it to just sit in storage. When I picked it up the brakes were sticking a little from sitting in storage. I took it to my friends at Leadfoot Muscle Cars here in Holland to go through it for me. And at their recommedation I had new brakes put on the front and rear. It still had the original rear finned drums and rotors on it. I replaced them but kept the originals to include with the car in the event the new owner wants them to further the originality. They also replaced the rear axle seals at the same time. After they road tested it they gave it a perfect bill of health and I took it home. Only one repaint on this one. The original color was maintained and checks out with the build sheet. The pictures you see are as it sits being used as a daily driver. It has lot of chips, door dings and other witnesses that come from driving in public. It has not been dressed up to look good. Still has cast iron manifolds on the engine. Air conditioning compressor and lines were removed at some point prior to my purchase. I know why as I've done it myself. Cars in this age group needed help in the horsepower arena. All of the expensive controls are still intact in the cabin. Parts are easy to find for the air for this platform. Car rides great and transmission shifts flawlessly! Still has the original keys with it! Quadrajet was pulled and replaced with a Holley. Interior not perfect but very nice, especially considering the age. Original Z28 badge was removed from the front grill to give it a more menacing look. Luckily it was kept and put in the glove box with the original mounting bracket and hardware!
Super fun car to drive. I included a picture that I pulled from NADA this morning to reflect current values. Top values shown do not reflect a documented car. They simply reflect the price according to condtion. Heavy documentation runs the price through the roof. This car is intended for a true collector that wants to see it restored. And the build sheet gives you the map! Good luck with the auction and don't hesitate to email me with any and all questions you may have. Immediate deposit of 1000.00 due at auctions end. Balance due within 10 business days by money order, bank check or cash. Pick up, arrange shipping with a carrier (Uship is a good choice), or find a way here and drive it home.
I've told all that I know and have created additional pictures using powerpoint to group common ones together for you.
