Description of 1968 Chevrolet Impala Convertible

Up for sale is my 1968 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible. A lot of hard work went into this car. It is a good honest old car. New Brakes, Shocks, Fuel Pump and a list of parts put in 4 years ago that I cannot mention for fear my wife will read this.
Car was repainted and received a new top 4 years ago. New wheels, Tires. Starter, Clutch, A/C Lines, master Cylinder and more. The hard work was done. I have a new carpet I did not put in yet that I will include. Interior is in great condition just needs a piping repair on drivers seat which can be done for about $200. Time has gotten away from me.
Two years ago I did a double roller Chain, Dart Aluminum Racing heads. Edelbrock Hi Rise Intake, Edelbrock Carb.

Was repainted 4 years ago and looks stunning. Hand painted stripes. Not a scratch on her. I have driven it 200 miles a year if that. Garage kept and under a cover. I will include the custom cover craft cover that was $500.
Car starts and runs great. It is 50 years old but has few quirks. The interior lights went out except the tach, could be a fuse. A/c Ice cold. Factory A/c Car. Other than that, does not need a thing mechanically. Even the oil change is fresh. The interior is presentable but if you slowly did it up this would be a stunner. Little things and pieces here and there. Car is great now, add some time and a few $ and this is a neck turner. Have not run into another one at any show. This is a rare car and going up in value. Listed on Hagarty as $32,000.
Engine bay is clean and detailed.
Car is super comfortable and a boat. Great car if you have a family and want to cruise or go to some shows.
Great gaps. Located an SS Drivers arm rest (took three years) and just put it on a few months back. Frame and trunk solid. Had no rust when I did it 4 and a half years ago. From what I could tell it had the right rear quarter done at some point in its life. The car is laser straight. I filled in all the holes from the molding removals with metal. This car has no bondo other that light skims for paint. It is magnet friendly. The paint is still stunning. I had the headlight trims re-chromed. The heat was bypassed long ago. I have a Heater core box for an a/c car (stupid rare) I will include for the new owner but no one drives this in the winter.
The brakes are brand new. The shocks and Springs are new as well. Car has a great stance.
The 4 speed is perfect. The car has great power. Motor is from a 65 Corvette and it is a block certified HH motor. Car is over 400 Horsepower. Purrs with a great sound. Has Magnaflow 50's. I have over $27,000 invested in this car. Reserve is far less.
Do not have the room. Would like my garage back. I do not drive it enough. Deserves to be out there. Always a crowd favorite and trophy winner at the local shows.
Car is sold as is. You are not buying the inspection, you are buying a car. You can see what it looked like when i bought it. Have the vision and the passion it deserves.

Thank you, please email me with any questions. No low balls. I am not desperate. It will do a few leaf peeping runs and go to sleep for the winter if not sold.
