Description of 1970 Chevrolet C10 Custom

We could tell you this 1970 Chevrolet C10 is a full custom build with less than 90 miles on it, but your eyes already told you that with its first impression. So look over all the details on this seriously mean machine that also has all the right modern comforts. It's the one performance classic pickup that leaves you wanting for nothing. The first thing you notice about this truck is the bright metallic gray paint. Modern clearcoat and a professional hand applying it gives this the kind of shine usually reserved for chrome. In fact, the whole body was stripped down to bare metal before this was applied. It meant the body panel got all the right attention, and the final product is just as butter-smooth as it looks. This color was actually borrowed from the Corvette palette, and that was likely for a very good reason. This has been custom built to be a sleek muscle machine, and so it's been given aggressive details like the adjustable front wing, billet grille, color-matched bracer bar in the bed, and nicely integrated side exhaust tips. Plus, both bumpers have been deleted and replaced with sleekly integrated panels. And this full silver/gray shining package is finished off with a large set of 20-inch five-spoke Ridler wheels. The complete custom interior goes to great lengths to make this feels both sporty and comfortable. It starts with a pair of leather bucket seats borrowed from a BMW. In-between is an armrest center console with cup holders. The black leather seen here coordinates nicely with the custom door panels and carpeting to make for a very professional setup. And with the exterior gray returning on the metal parts of the doors, dash, and roof, the whole truck has a premium level of coordination. You have all the right features for a comfortable cruiser, including power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and R134a air conditioning. But there's also that unmistakable tingle of performance that happens when you slip behind the classic Chevy sports steering wheel and grab the Lokar shifter. And with the full gauge package upgraded to crisp & clear Classic Instruments readouts, you know this one was built for driving. Pop the hood, and you'll realize you're staring down one monster motor â€" a freshly built 454 cubic-inch big-block V8. It's upgraded with new piston rings, bearings, Comp Cams hydraulic camshaft & lifters, MSD ignition, a performance intake, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. There's even a large aluminum radiator with electric fan to keep it all running cool. Long tube headers feed a throaty dual exhaust system that sounds awesome with the tips right in front of the rear wheels. The transmission is a strong 700R4 four-speed automatic w/overdrive that has been further beefed up during a recent rebuild with a mild shift kit and a stall converter. This feeds a stout Eaton limited slip rear end with 3.73 gears for good takeoffs. Plus, these Chevys are sought after for their smooth-riding trailing arm rear suspension â€" now upgraded with air ride controls. Combine this with power steering and front disc brakes, and this street-eating truck is also a comfortable Sunday driver. This is one of those few well-built pickups that has the plenty of motor to back up its aggressive appearance. You can choose to be the intimidator at the car show, or just watch as traffic parts for this beast during your morning commute. Don't miss out, call today!
