Description of 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle LS1 Pro Touring

This car was Born to Run. '67 Chevelle's look fast even when they are standing still with their bulging fenders and the sail panel treatment to the back glass. But when you drop in a healthy LS1 engine and add some updated running gear,... well... just turn up the Springsteen and let those horses run. At first glance, this car looks like just another good looking '67 Chevelle. But there is so much more to this car... than meets the eye. It has been meticulously stripped down and restored from top to bottom with pictures and build receipts that you should ask your salesperson about. It is presented in True Blue Pearl with fresh bumpers and trim all around that shine bright and look sharp. Thanks to a couple chassis goodies we will talk about later, the car has an aggressive stance and staggered wheel size that lets you know it means business. Up front the look is super clean with a bumper that wraps around the edge of the fenders underlining a black and chrome grill with quad headlights and no emblems. The front fender has an "LS1 Tuned Port" badge letting you know what lurks under the hood. The rear is equally clean with a trunk that's as smooth as glass and a black panel between the wraparound taillights underlined by another sharp looking bumper. Open the door and you will find a very clean and comfortable interior with some custom touches and modern updates. The door panel sets the pattern of the interior with simple horizontal pattern with a slash of chrome piping across the top edge. The bucket seats build on that look with pleated carbon fiber seating surfaces flanked by smooth black vinyl. "The Heartbeat of America" along with a bowtie is embroidered into the tops of the seats with the rear seats echoing the same look. There is a three spoke steering wheel with a Chevelle center button. A B&M T-handle shifter for the automatic transmission is within easy reach in the custom center console that also contains a Kenwood stereo/nav system with Polk audio speakers for your convenience and listening pleasure. The dash has been upgraded with a carbon fiber panel containing Dakota digital gauges in the stock location. A new headliner and fresh carpeting complete this sweet looking interior nicely. Pop the hood and you will find that fuel injected LS1 motor which has been dressed up a bit sitting down in a neat and clean engine bay. A free flow air filter feeds the intake manifold, which along with the valve covers, has been painted True Blue to match the body. Long tube headers send the exhaust back through Flowmaster mufflers and give the car a nice sound. This setup pumps out a reliable 400+ horsepower as measured on the engine dyno. It sends that power back through a 4-speed automatic transmission to a Ford 9" rear set up with traction lock and 3.89 gears. The chassis dyno shows 322 HP getting to the ground at the back wheels. Up front, tubular control arms with adjustable coil over shocks allow the ride height to be adjusted and give the car its nice chassis rake. An adjustable sway bar allows fine tuning of the handling and 4-wheel disc brakes assure that you can haul this ride back down from speed. The rubber meets the road through 245/40R18s up front and 245/45R20s in the back mounted on Boss wheels. Classic good looks nicely restored. Healthy engine and chassis upgrades. Custom interior with a killer stereo and nav system. What are you waiting for? Come on down and check out this sweet ride!
