First available on Saturday June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 1955.1952 - Outer door handles are now push button type as opposed to the previous turn down style. Speedometer now reads to 90 mph and dashboard trim is painted instead of chrome. Mid-year, Chevrolet stops using the 3100-6400 designation on the hood and changes to maroon window and wiper knobs. The truck has gone through a frame off restoration a few years ago and has about 2600 miles since then. The engine is a 6Cyl with manual transmission both in great shape. All tires including the spare are in great condition. The truck runs, drives and stops great. Exterior The exterior is a great driver quality. The body is solid and all body panels appear to be original to the truck. The paint looks smooth and shiny although there are some minor imperfections and touchups nothing major. All glass is nice. The chrome is beautiful. Both bumpers are straight with no dents or dings. The bed, cab, undercarriage are very clean. All the exterior lights work. This is a great looking and driving truck and gets lots of thumbs up. InteriorThe interior looks nice and neat. Heater, speedo, gauges, all work. Even has the original radio.
