Up for auction is a 1954 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton short bed truck. The truck has a solid body with very little rust. The truck has the original ignition with the foot stomp starter. The floor boards are solid as are the doors and all the other sheet metal. There are some dings and dents in the fenders hood and cab. The cab corners are solid except for 2 small rust holes in the passenger side cab corner on the bottom side of the cab corner. I left the truck with it's original patina and sparyed the truck with 3 coats of Hod Rod Flats clear coat. The interior has 3 coats of Hot Rod Flats Turquoise. The floor boards and kick panels are solid no rust through The bench seat has been recovered. All the glass on the truck is brand new as are all of the windshield . back glass. and door seals. The inside black head liner and door panels have been replaced. The outside mirror has been replaced as has the inside rear view mirror. A new sun visor and dome light were also installed. The bed has new pine bed wood installed along with new steel bed strips. The pine bed wood was stained and has 4 coasts of shellac on the top side and bottom side. I also installed a new glove bos. There is also new carpet installed in the cab. The 235 6 cylinder engine has been rebuilt from the bottom up and has about 500 miles on it since the rebuild. new crankshaft. pistons. rings. etc. The wtaer pump. fuel pump. starter. are new. The 1 barrel Rochester carb has been rebuilt and works great. The choke cable works great but I never really need to use it. I just pat the gas pedal 2 or 3 times and hit the foot stomp and she starts right up. I replaced the points with a Pertronix electronic ignition. so the truck has electronic ignition. You can go back to the points if you like. I put the points in the Pertronix box and put the box in the glove box. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts and has a brand new 1 wire alternator. The wiring harness is a new 22 circuit harness. I installed a 22 circuit instead of a 12 citcuit with plans on dropping a V8 and auto trans in the truck. But I decided the truck was to nice so I left it original. So if you decide to drop in a modern drive trian into the truck or resto mod it the wires are there for the electric fuel pump. electric choke. power dorrs and windows. radio. etc. I tucked the wires up under the dash near the drivers side where the fuse box is located. The battery is in its original location under the floor board hatch passengers side. The radiator is a brand new 3 row aluminium with new hoses. The 3 speed tarnsmission has been gone over cleaned and new gear lube put in ti. The transmission shifts great . The shifter box was cleaned and new grease put in it and new bushings installed so there are NO shifting hang ups. The rear differential has also been cleaned and new gear lube put in it. The brakes are the original drum brakes all around. The emergency brake works and I installed brand new e brake cables. I replaced the brake system with a new DUAL MASTER CYLINDER. I didn't like the original single master cylinder for safety so I installed the dual master cylinder so the front and rear brakes are on separate lines instead of the single system. The truck has all new brake shoes and wheel cylinders. All the brake lines along with the fuel lines have been replaced. The truck has new tail lights and head lights. I replaced the front parking lights with new 12 volt sockets. The horn. head lights. blinkers. hazards. and tail ights all work great. The tires are 15" Good Year Aqua treads and are like new. And the wheels are the 6 lugs. The trucks doors all shut good and tight as does the hood. This truck runs and drives great and is a lot of fun to cruise around the town in. It would make a great rat rod left as it is. Or you could put a little more in it and bring it back to it's original glory or resto mod it. I will supply the buyer with a notorized affadavit from the State of Alanama that vehicles older the 1976 are not required a title. And a notorized bill of sale and a signed tag registrtation. I have sold trucks to England. France. Florida. Virginia. and Pennsylviania. And no one has ever had any problems getting a registration . Shipping; will be the buyers responsiblity.
