1 owner 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 4 speed from Virginia. Until February of 2019, this car belonged to a husband/wife who purchased the car brand new so many years ago. In the photos, you will see a photo copy of the original Virginia title issued back in 1966. 92k original correct miles which is DMV certified ACTUAL on the Virginia title issued February of 2019. This car is all numbers matching, original engine, original transmission, and original 12 bolt rear. The car has not on the road since 1992 and has been sitting in a garage. The photos displayed show the car just how it was received from the original owner; not washed or vacuumed or ANYTHING. The car was repainted over 25 years ago, the engine appears to have been painted, newer radiator, not correct battery/hold down, and updated ignition coil. All else appears original and untouched; original radio, upholstery, dash, carpet, etc... The car runs phenomenally! The carb does leak fuel onto the intake manifold and there are no brakes. Upon receiving the car, the brakes went out and the pedal goes to the floor. The interior of the car, for being original, is in wonderful condition. With some vacuuming and cleaning, the interior would be great. The exterior could be cleaned up a metric ton with a simple wash and polish, however the front fenders could use a patch panel at the bottom. The passenger headlight trim would need to be replaced as it is "wrinkled." The lower exterior portion of the doors do have something going on underneath of the white sticker. Quarter panels have VERY minimal paint bubbling which is unseen unless you are a foot away. The body is very straight and does not appear wavy at all. The undercarriage appears dirty from never being cleaned or painted since purchased new back in 1966. Whether you want to put forth a little effort into it making it a fun and reliable driver, full blown restoration, or leave it alone and set it next to the others in your collection; this car is one with a great story. A true survivor car with correct miles, big engine, desired transmission, and big rear.
