Description of 1955 Chevrolet Nomad

1955 Nomad Wagon with nostalgic look of a vintage classic with all new modern technology. The engine choice is a LS-9 ZR-1 supercharge GM crate engine that is rated at 638hp with 604 ft lb of torque. This beauty has an automatic TCI-6 speed transmission that is electronically controlled with override manual shift with paddle shifter. The chassis is an Art Morrison GT-55 Tri Five Sport with adjustable Strange coilovers. Suspension is Art Morrison with polished stainless steel a-arms, polished rear triangulated four link with a 9 inch rear end with 3.50:1 gears and 31 spline axles. Also has stainless long tube headers. Brakes are Wilwood rotors/calipers and a master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valve. Wheels are Billet Specialities 20 inch on the rear with 305/35 R20 Nitto drag radials to plant the power. Up front is Nitto NT-555 205/40 R17. Vintage Air provides the heat and air. Custom radiator and intercooler were supplied by Arctic Chill with a custom 3 in 1 combination of radiator, a/c condenser and intercooler with a pair of Spal 12 inch fans. Special features include electric hood opener, power rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes, Flaming River tilt column, Rock Valley stainless fuel tank, K&N air induction, electric fans for transmission, 2 additional coolers, dry sump tank by Peterson, remote control security system, original seats wrapped in custom black with red double stitches, gauges are Classic Instrument package, LED taillights and Halogen headlamps. All stainless is polished to perfection and all chrome is triple plated. Exterior color is PPG Viper Red and Shoreline Beige. Over 275K spent on restoration.
