Description of 1965 Chevrolet Corvair

This is one amazing garage kept beauty! Extensive restoration done on the car! Rare and highly optioned car in hard to find Crocus Yellow!Always the center of attention at car shows. she is a pleasure to drive. Within the past few years I have replaced the following: upper and lower ball joints. the front and rear shocks. rear coil springs. front stabilizer bar bushings. both front and rear wheel cylinders. rear spring hardware kit. rear trailing arm bushings. and rear track bar bushings on both sides. The entire exhaust system has also been replaced. It also has fairly new front and rear brakes. In the past year the following was done: Added 65 Amp alternator with internal regulator. both carburetors rebuilt. replaced harmonic balancer and seal. replaced rear engine mount. replaced blower bearing. replaced fuel sender. REPLACED A/C IDLE UP SOLINOID. replaced rear antenna. replaced A/C fan switch. replaced front brake hoses. lubricated the power top assembly. complete fluid change. lubed chassis. replaced steering box gear. new pan gasget seals. added 4 new 14 inch tires and wire wheel hubcaps. Also had custom single width carpet floor mat made for the car. Also added seat extender to drivers side for tall drivers ( adds 3-4 inches )Options on the car include: Air Conditioning ( works very well ). Tinted windows all around. Telescoping steering column. day night mirror. AM/FM factory radio. rear mounted antenna. and very rare Power Top in great working condition. Body. paint and chrome in great shape ( front bumper drivers side has one small scratch ) I do have service receipts dating back 40 years. Outside small wear mostly above the center windshield. Still would rate it 9/10 and it is a very good quality top. I always will keep the top retracted so I can enjoy the weather while driving. that's why I got the convertible in the first place!
