Description of 1966 Chevrolet C-10 --

In case you haven't noticed, vintage trucks are red-hot right now, and those with something extra to offer, trucks like this awesome 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup for instance, are at the very top of the charts. With a small block V8, sinister satin black paint, and a handsome interior, it's a workhorse that has learned to dance. The blacked-out look works surprisingly well on the vintage C10 bodywork, and even with the low-gloss paint you can see... that someone invested quite a bit of time in this truck. The satin paint has been applied over some very nicely done bodywork that retains all the dramatic creases and details that make these trucks so iconic. From the wrap-around hood treatment to the simple squared-off tailgate, this is one of the first trucks to make style a priority. Those bulging rear fenders help, too, giving it a muscular look that works rather well with the low-gloss paint. Of course, custom details are what set this particular truck apart, with some of the chrome being painted to match and some of it being refinished, including the grille and bumpers, so there's a little extra sparkle. The bed is beautifully finished with a dark stain and stainless hardware, with the sides being covered with spray-in bedliner material so it'll look great for years to come. As brutal as the bodywork is, the interior is surprisingly upscale and refined. The original bench is finished in custom cloth and vinyl upholstery, with beautiful gray carpets and the door panels painted charcoal gray to match. The original instrument panel still has that cool flat pane of glass with all the needles stashed behind it, so it was easy to install a set of aftermarket gauges in there for a totally custom look. The 3-spoke steering wheel lives on a chrome tilt column, making this a very comfortable place to spend your time. You'll note that the shift quadrant now shows D-2-1, which comes complements of the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission now living in place of the original PowerGlide. An AM/FM/iPod stereo has been fitted in the original radio's location and powers new speakers in a set of custom kick panels that almost look OEM. Power comes from a 350 cubic inch V8, and it fits like it was born under this truck's hood. That shouldn't be a surprise, since this truck likely carried a 283 from new, but the extra 67 cubes make a big difference in performance. A chrome air cleaner feeds an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor sitting on top of a matching intake manifold. There's a bit of chrome dress up to go with the Chevy Orange paint, and the satin black inner fenders and firewall are tidy if not detailed for show. The undercarriage features long-tube headers feeding a throaty Flowmaster dual exhaust system gives it just the right sound, as well as Chevy's long-arm rear suspension that rides rather well. Power steering and power front disc brakes make it easy to drive and there are fairly recent shocks all around that make this old truck feel a lot younger than it is. The look is completed by a set of blacked out Cragar aluminum wheels wearing very truck-like 31x10.50-15 General radials. You absolutely could not duplicate this truck for the asking price, and you won't find a cooler hauler for less cash anywhere. Affordable trucks just don't get much nicer. Call today!
