Description of 1969 Chevrolet C-10

This 1969 Chevrolet C10 pickup has the best of both worlds, nostalgic 1969 exterior look but with better performance and reliability through upgraded suspension and drive train with modern creature comforts and cool factors throughout. Truck went through a body-off restoration frame was blasted and powder coated in gloss graphite along with various suspension components in gloss or satin black.

Every nut and bolt is new. This truck was basically built from a catalog. Every badge, handles, piece of rubber, trim, light, bezel, even light bulbs are new. Every piece of molding was had picked from several new kits to make sure nothing was damaged. Converted to solid one piece glass. New front and rear glass and seals with no leaks. Wipers and wiper motor assembly new. Locking billet fuel filler in bed and integrated into the ribs. Shaved door locks, antenna, gas door. Metal worked every piece of metal including the new stuff and fitted everything numerous times before starting the actual body filler and priming/blocking stages. Sealed and sprayed the truck Base/Clear using PPG DB series paints...not the cheap stuff. Colors are cool vanilla white and olive verde. New grille with correct inserts and letter stamping. Front and rear smoothie bumpers cleaned up the exterior nicely.

The truck rides on a set of 20″ US Mags 8" wide front and 9.5" rear wearing new Lexani tires with 275s out back. Combination of components to get the lowered stance. Drop coils, blocks, and modular spindles. Braking upgrades consist of 6-piston Wilwood calipers in front and 4-piston on the rear axle. Entire brake system was carefully laid out and fastened throughout. Manual rear proportioning valve mounted under cab. All flex points are made up of high quality braided lines.

New AAW harness. Every wire was planned to be hidden or tucked away cleanly. You will be thoroughly impressed with the amount of planning that went into every little feature. Advanced Keyless Entry System works amazing. This truck has no key, no locks, simply walk up with the key fob in your pocket and the truck disarms and awaits to start. When you get out and step a few feet away it disengages and arms. The coolest feature of this classic ride is the ability to start it up with its remote start while people are huddling around and you are across the parking lot (note: it doesn't become able to drive until the key fob is within a foot or so.) Cabin also has vintage looking digital radio, cigarette lighter location was swapped out to a usb charger and headphone jack to listen to your tunes. Every gauge, every light works on this truck the way its suppose to. Has nice white interior LED lights along with matching floor board lights. Red top Optima Battery was relocated behind the center console which is really quick and easy to get to. Or simply use the remote charging posts in the engine bay. Battery does not drain out while sitting in your garage untouched.

The interior was customized using materials supplied by TMI Products, Inc in Corona, California. This combination of materials and colors were possible with a lot of back and forth work between me and the company over the coarse of several months. A pair of low-back bucket seats with console and hot rod buckle seat beats. Same matching door panels, dash board, visors, speaker pods, and shift boot. Nice contrasting carpet and back wall. Cab has 2 layers of dynomat inside, and clean spray liner underneath to reduce noise and heat.

Power comes from an all aluminum 5.7-liter LS1 V8 which reportedly produces over 400 horsepower. Shifting is handled by a4L6OE 4-speed automatic transmission routing power to a completely rebuilt rear axle with a 3.73:1 gear ratio, bearings, seals, and royal purple fluid. The ECU and standalone harness relays are mounted in front of the battery in cab. ECU was tuned and programmed for correct gear ratio, and tire diameter. Dual 12" electric fans mounted to a Champion LS radiator. The cooling system was pressure tested and pressure filled with correct GM coolant. Motor was a 66,xxx mile GTO pullout that ran amazing. Everything was compression tested and gone through. New fluids, hotrod rear sump oil pan, water pump, thermostat and gaskets throughout, seals, bearings, plugs, wires, headers, and all fittings Large Sanden AC compressor and alternator left in low mount positions. Poly motor mounts. This motor starts without hesitation and you can hear the quality while its idling. There are no drips, seaps, leaks of any kind anywhere. Has roughly 140 miles since gone through.

The engine bay was smoothed using slosh wheel tubz, sheetmetal to fit tightly around the tubz, firewall, hood hinges, core cover, inner core covers, no exposed wires and custom transmission tunnel. Then sprayed using same exterior color with matte clear top coat. Engine and engine covers were sprayed interior colors with matte clear. The engine covers were cleaned up and fitted with removable aluminum heat sinc plates upholstered and stitched to match seats. Entire covers come off easy as well. No they do not get hot. I have set in traffic for long periods of time with the Air conditioning running and motor at normal temperatures and cover inserts aren't phased.

This truck all around performs. It sounds mean, it goes fast, and stops just as fast. It handles amazing, comfortable to cruise in, is super responsive and best of all its incredible to show off.

All trades considered.

This is an amazing price for the amount of money in parts alone. This doesn't even come close to the amount of hours in labor it took to create.
