SoCal Classic Car Storage in Laguna Hills, CA is proud to present this 1965 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed Fleetside Pickup
This professionally built '65 Chevrolet C10 Pickup was a give-away vehicle at the 2008 Great Labor Day Cruise at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA. The Orange County Cruising Association has sponsored this event for over 36 years and with the help of numerous local automotive businesses in the area, they teamed together to create this astonishing Fleetside Pickup. Well fast forward to 2019 and the second owner subsequent to the 2008 build has decided to consign it with SoCal Classic Car Storage in Laguna Hills, CA. We're the premier storage facility for all of south county's classic and exotic automotive storage needs.
Now, as for the C10, it has been driven, enjoyed and preserved as it was intended for. Our client obtained the truck several years ago and used it as a weekend driver. It is a very common and standard build with some cool custom touches throughout. The build was a collaboration of some of the top automotive shops in Orange County. Starting with the exterior, it's very apparent the cab and the bed were removed to rebuild and restore the stock chassis, suspension and drivetrain. From there, a mildly built Chevy 350 cu in motor was rebuilt and paired with a turbo 400 transmission as the provided power plant. Meanwhile, the body was being professionally refinished to receive a fresh two stage paint job. The interior was given equal treatment as well with the dash and door panels finished in the same custom blue and orange colors. With the stock bench seat re-upholstered in black leather, the cab is simple and practical. The finishing touches include subtle pin stripping by the well known Jeff Styles. All of the aluminum trim was either restored or replaced with reproduction trim while the bumpers were re-plated with show chrome plating. As the photos show, the bed's wooden slats were given a unique treatment of a dark smoked appearance.
All and all, the truck is a solid build that any new owner will feel safe in and enjoy for years to come. I've personally driven this C10 and can attest to it's reliability, comfort and handling. It steers and tracks straight going down the road. It's smooth and vibration-free. It brakes and accelerates as it should. It's optioned with both power steering and power brakes. It starts up immediately and has more than enough power. Don't ask how I know.....

UPDATE: June 14, 2019 Price Reduction! $36,900.00
Unless you've been living under a rock, you'd agree trucks have been hot for the last 8 years. Finally, what was once used as a work truck is now popular in the hot rodding and custom car arena. Furthermore, short beds! The proportions are perfect on a short bed pickup and because of that, they make the perfect candidate for restoring. Do yourself a favor though.... buy one completed. I can't stress that enough. Yes it's fun building one in your garage, but if that's not an option, buy one that's already been restored. The build cost on any classic automobile in this day in age is astronomical. The three major steps to any build consist of body/paint, interior and drivetrain. Well, news flash.... average paint finish will cost between $9k - $15k. The materials alone are in the thousands. Next is upholstery..... quality work is hard to find and when you do, you'll pay a premium. Auto upholstery is a rare trade and therefore demands a deserving compensation. Last is drivetrain and if you want your ride to be safe going down the road, you'll want to hire a reputable shop. Again, they'll have hourly fees between $90 - $130hr. The above is nothing more than a friendly suggestion and based on my experiences and opinions. With that said, feel comfortable knowing you're viewing a well built, solid mid 60's pickup that will only go up in value. So don't be shy.... make an offer on this custom C-10! Life is short - treat yourself. Hell, you can't take the money with you.

Summer is almost here.... that means car show season for most of us. Also means cruising your favorite highway or back roads. If you've been searching for a pick up truck, make sure to read through the details on this one and study the photos. Lots of time and money went into this build. There's plenty of junk for sale out there, so don't fall into that trap and think you'll find one for less. Spend a little more and avoid unforeseen mechanical costs or flawed paint that "looked nice in the photos". This one is turn-key and ready to enjoy. Remember, if you're out of the area, we can assist in transporting. Also, take into consideration that as an established business, you can be reassured your purchase is safe.
