Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1969

This Corvette was purchased by second owner in 1969 (Protect-O-Plate in second owner's name). At the time of purchase the original engine had already been replaced. The new owner in her youthful enthusiasm of 21 years began a rather spirited driving career that apparently involved some club events and resulted in some engine issues that at the end of 1969 required the installation of another short block. The documents at hand show there was a litigation between the second owner, the original owner and the Chevrolet dealership having something to do with the incorrect camshaft installed. By Autumn of 1969 there was an out of court settlement and the Chevrolet dealership installed a new replacement L88 short block. Her personal modifications were to have installed an American made set of wire wheels with knock-off hubs and spindle conversion, steel tube headers and side exhaust, Mallory dual point distributor and spark coil, roll bar and cassette player. Other work orders show that the disc brakes were rebuilt and updated with stainless steel sleeves. As time went on, the young lady a competitor in equestrian events began to have less interests in auto cross events and in the mid/late 1980s parked her Corvette in the garage where it sat on blocks for nearly 30+ years. The Corvette comes with a 2+ inch file of documents, work orders and receipts, auto club meet plaques, a warranty paper with the stamped metal plate in her name, factory shop manual and many boxes of spares including:original 427 hood in perfect shape in original matching color, original tri power intake with carbs and filter housing, side molding/rocker panel trim (removed for the side exhausts) original air pump and lines ( aka: "smog pump"), original radio, original antenna mast, spare tinted windshield, original red sidewall spare tire, 3 American racing mag wheel with tires, "Stingray" and "427" emblems, front lower under bumper spoiler/deflector. Using a "bore scope" video camera it appears that the build sheet is still attached to the top of the fuel tank. I have yet to lower the fuel tank to photograph the information. From the initial survey the only options that can be confirmed are the original hard top in black vinyl covering, tilt wheel and 427/435HP "tri-power".
