Description for Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 1976

1976 Chevrolet K20 Custom Deluxe

Quick background: This Texas truck belonged to a long-time customer of mine. He took it to Mexico twice a year and
was his daily driver. As he got older, it was harder for him to handle.
It has been sitting for about 8 months. I had to put a new fuel pump on it to get it started, and a new brake master to get it to stop. Also has a brand-new Napa battery. If you do not want the battery, deduct $100 from the price.

I know a little about this truck, but not a lot.
Here is what I know:
The engine was rebuilt about two years ago, and I estimate there should be about 4k miles on it. Engine is built stock, with 30/20 bore and turn I think. New pistons, rings, bearings, o/p t-chain etc. There was a new Edelbrock on top, but he stated that one should never take shiny things to Mexico... so.Someone down there thought they would set the valves for him, and went overboard on #3 intake - will need that lifter.Runs very nice on 7 cylinders...........Both original heads were cracked. I used a set of 624's that were laying around. These are not desirable heads. I would junk those and put some better ones on it.

- Edelbrock mid-rise intake- This is a factory A/C truck, but the compressor is missing.- Factory power steering - works, leaks
- Factory 4WD, but he removed the front drive-shaft years ago - is in the floorboard.- Transfer case has play.- Brakes are stiff, may need booster.- Dual tanks
- Driver's door sags- ODO says 60,448 - I do not know if that is accurate.
- Extra matching rim/ tire in the bed.
- This is a 43 year old truck that starts easily, runs, drives and stops. It would make a very nice starter resto 4x4 project.
There is RUST, but it is not eat up with it: front lip of hood, front lower fenders, cab corners to a degree, lower doors, and a small spot rear right lower fender.
I did not pull the carpet, but floor feels solid.

Ladder rack comes with, but can be removed if you like. Shipping is on you, but I will be happy to help.
You are more than welcome to check it out in person, and I will do my best to answer any questions. If you would like specific pictures of something - please ask. This is NOT a daily driver at this point,
but could be. It is a solid PROJECT - AS -IS ! I do not feel responsible for things I do not know!

Clear & clean Texas title.
I prefer cash in person - bank or personal check is fine. Truck released when checks clear.

Thanks for looking!
