67 Chevy Malibu For Sale If you're looking for the right candidate for restoration, keep reading! I have a lightly driven, garage kept, never wrecked, strong running, Malibu that you need to drive, buy and restore. This is a 2-door, hard top, coupe, with the bucket/racing seats and shift on the floor. Air shocks lift her rear end up, giving her an aggressive, powerful stance. The car turns heads and everyone who hears it is impressed. My neighbors were shocked! The car is strong on the open road. Just an exciting car to drive! I'll tell you everything I know about it, but it's up to your own judgement. It's being sold As Is, but was a reliable, daily driver for me around town (8k miles in 20+ years). For the last 8 years, it's been driven periodically, but mostly safe in storage. Other than regular maintenance, I've had no problems. I'd like to see her fully restored and I can't think of a better place for a serious enthusiast to start. And you're not paying for someone else's shoddy work; you get to pick the paint and hash out the details... your way. What you are buying here is a rare, American muscle car with the right history - well cared for, low miles, nice body and limitless potential for Badass-ness! The VIN # is 136177A178502 on the NC State Registration card 2014. I am getting the registration back up to date this week, but the number is correct. CAR:
BODY: The body is primer/paint. The rear window area is in good shape, the rear quarter panels have some rust and holes from rust. Never been wrecked to my knowledge, straight lines and frame. The trunk area and hood need work still. The window seals are shot. Trunk lock is broken. Trim pieces and emblems are in the trunk. Pretty remarkable given the age. INTERIOR: Two racing seats and the automatic shift is on the floor. The front seats are in good shape, no major rips or tears, but and rear seats are torn up at the very top. You'd want to replace the headliner, carpet and dash. No original radio. MECHANICAL: The engine feels strong and sound, no smoke when you start it up. The car is in good working condition and was driven lightly. I've had the mechanic go over everything, so she's had an oil change, air filter, tune up, brakes and so on. Other than regular repairs, the car has the original engine, transmission, etc. No major modifications. Car has air shocks. It has the factory AC, but I haven't had it running for years. WHAT I KNOW: I've owned the car over twenty years. I bought her from the son of a Louisiana Sheriff and the official sticker is still on the car, which is kind of cool. I just had the car gone over from bumper to bumper and verified the numbers match up. We did belts, oil, transmission, brakes, rear end, plugs and wires. He also worked on the headlights, wipers, carburetor, turn signals, dash lights, gauges and such. Car is pretty much in original condition, to my knowledge. It's ready for restoration whenever you want to get started. I'd appreciate pictures when you're finished. INSPECTIONS: I encourage inspections. I have disclosed all known defects and imperfections, but I'm not a professional and I'm not you. Purchasing a vehicle is very subjective. Perform inspections prior to putting down a deposit. PRICE: $22k. Serious offers only. Priced well below appraised value. The car needs to be picked up from Candler, NC. I can't arrange for shipping or delivery. |
