Description of 1962 Chevrolet Impala

I purchased this car in 1988 as a project, thinking that I would have time to complete it while raising a family. It didn’t work out that way.

The car has been stored in a heated garage since I purchased it so it’s in pretty good shape for a 57 year old vehicle. Many years ago I sandblasted and painted the frame with black epoxy, replaced the rear end with a rebuilt posi unit (3:56’s maybe?) and replaced the rear springs.I also bought new 409 front springs and a disk brake conversion for the front that are not installed but will be included with the vehicle. It also has a kit for installing a new rear sway bar (they didn’t originally come with one).

You can see from the pictures that it needs work. Most of the parts, including the glass, are included and are intact. There is rust on the front bottom of the doors and in the rocker area. The body and frame are not attached, the body is setting atop a couple 4x4’s which are laid across the frame.

I sold the front bench seat and bought a set of what I was told are ’62 buckets that need re-upholstering.I am limited to 24 pictures, but can provide more at your request. Other pictures I can provide include inner doors, bumpers, glass, different angles of the hood and trunk, fenders, bucket seats, VIN and Trim Tags, Frame, both Door Panels, both Rear Bolsters, and other parts as well. Theconvertible top frame is intact, I assume that the power top motor will need to be rebuilt.Other parts include the drive shaft, fuel line, steering box and linkage, I should be able to find the front grille and headlight trim.I even have the “bug juice” bottle somewhere. This is practically a complete car.

Please ask questions.Just about everything is included to complete this car except the motor and tranny.

I have the Bill of Sale for the vehicle that I received when I purchased it. I never registered it, and Connecticut does not issue titles for vehicles older than 20 years, so there is no title. I will issue a Bill of Sale once the transaction is complete.
