Description of 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 210

Your eye has caught this wild beast, and for a good reason. What you see here is a 1953 Chevy Bel Air sedan, that's been mounted on a 1976 Chevy truck frame. Looks killer, sounds even better. The car is a neck breaker and is a joy to own. It is technically a project car but almost all of the good stuff has already been done. the car has a ton of custom work:
  • Shortened frame to accommodate the body. (Titled as a 53 Bel air, clean Maryland title in my name)
  • Flat black paint with Chevy red roof and hood scoop, hand painted pinstripes and side flames.
  • 454 engine mated to a th400 transmission that's been rebuilt.
  • B&M quick silver shifter with a snapon screwdriver shifter handle.
  • Custom gauges have been mounted in the middle and wiring ran.
  • Hand painted dash with pinstriping to match the exterior
  • Racing bucket seats with racing harnesses.
  • "Noisy gears" dual gear drive camgears, eliminating the timing chain.
  • Rear air adjustable shocks for ride height control.
  • Full moon hubcaps for that vintage hotrod look.
  • EZ-wiring harness that's 12 volt, with battery relocated in the trunk.
  • 13 gallon beer keg, mounted in the trunk, cold beer always on tap ;)
  • '76 Chevy truck front bumper custom made to fit the nose of the Bel Air.
  • Tilt steering column with ignition cutoff while column in up position.
  • Corvette styled side pipes coming straight out of the headers (music to ears)
  • Chrome power steering booster along with chrome valve covers, chrome alternator, other dress up for the engine bay, with aluminum panels for the firewall.
  • CompCams engine internals, high flow water pump
  • Holley street avenger double pumper carb (needs tuning)
  • High voltage distributor and upgraded wiring.
  • Shaved rear door handles for that clean bubble 2 door look, with removed chrome trim by the rear quarter panels, front grill blacked out.
The car is a very good candidate to finish up the interior and do some fine tuning to get it ready for daily driving. Currently has a bit of a rough idle due to the carb and timing needing adjusted. Tends to get hot currently after driving for a bit, most likely due to poor carb tune and timing not set. Starts right up, fresh starter to handle the massive engine with 0 gauge wiring going to starter. 12 bolt rear end with an LSD installed.Has power steering and power brakes, drives nicely despite being old. The paint isn't perfect but that's kind of the point of having a ratrod. Very cool ride that's a few loving hours away from being very solid and enjoyable. I drive it as it is on the weekends when the weather permits. This bad boy likes to get sideways once the ground is wet. Working headlights, brake lights, turn signals, windshield wiper. Manual control levers for the air flap in the firewall, working windows as well. Interior is bare and door cards have old material that has seen better days. An old school bomber style interior would be amazing for it. (It is crossposted so might sell outside of eBay)
