Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro |
I am the third owner of this car and have had it over twenty years. The vehicle was completely disassembled prior to restoration, which was done by a professional classic car mechanic and body service in Nashville, TN with additional service and work by RAGGS Automotive in Green Valley, AZ. Currently the car has less than 1k miles on the restoration. When I decided to restore this car I envisioned a head-turning classic car with modern tech that could be a daily driver or hold its own next to show cars. The car features shaved doors with a keyless entry and clean, modern aesthetics. I left the interior basically stock with original steering wheel, door skins, seat belts, hardware backseat, front seats (re-foamed and covered) dash (new dash top piece) new headliners and side panels, and updated gauges and shifter. The car does not have matching numbers, and if you are asking this is not your car. This car is extremely quick, fast, incredibly fun to drive and has a nice throaty sound. Specifics (or as close to I remember or have documentation) Engine:383 Fuel Injected Chevy Small Block with Tune Port Fuel Injection from Street & Performance. The engine came as a crate motor and has since been modified to accommodate the TPI. I am not sure of the actual components used in the engine, however, it was built for street/race and I paid over 6k 10 years ago. Trunk has some minor rusting around latch base, TPI has a minor dent/scratch, body has a few minor "scratches" and a small dent in the front passenger side panel, the paint is not chipped and no rust is present. |
