Description of 1972 Chevrolet Blazer K5

Selling my 1972 Chevy K5 Blazer is mostly original condition. Great original color - Medium Red which appears more dark orange than red. 350 engine runs great - recent tune of the Quadrajet Carb. Smooth shifting automatic transmission. The truck can be enjoyed as is or would be a perfect candidate for a restoration - doors open and close with ease so overall body is very straight and only rust areas are to rockers and some front floor corners. Original key not only starts the truck but opens both doors and locks the shell hatch. Recent work includes all new shocks and front stabilizer, brand new Dick Cepek Tires, new fuel pump, suspension work to include tie rods, inner and outer drag links. Rally wheels with original stainless steel beauty rings and original metal(Not reproduction plastic) center caps. All lights work including upgraded LED headlights and taillights. Newer windshield and windshield molding as well as brake booster. New rear bumper. Side moldings are new but are aftermarket. New high quality seat covers and center console with phone charger.
Enjoy the truck exactly as is - not perfect by any means but has great patina and runs really well. I would not hesitate to drive the trunk anywhere. With that being said I will outline those items that could use attention if you are looking to bring it to the next level. 1. Rust repair - rockers and corner of front floors.2. It's an AC truck but not connected. 3. Radio in dash but not connected and not working.4. If I was keeping the Blazer I would consider getting a new steering gear box as there is excessive play. 5. Overall body is very straight(doors, hatch, etc. open and close with ease) but there are some bumps and bruises you'd expect from a 47 year old truck that has not been restored. 6. There is a 3 inch hole in dash next to the ashtray that I have covered with some magnets and a clock - you would never know the hole was there but just want to be up front.7. Some minor oil leaks. 8. There is a 3" chip out of the shell top where it connects with body on driver side. 9. Front seats are out of a newer Silverado - I personally like them as they are very comfortable and have integrated seatbelts which is nice when the top is off. 10. I have the original rear seat but it will need to be re-upholstered.11. The truck has a newer brake booster - as a result it puts more pressure than needed to the rear drum brakes which isn't great for the long term. Perfect for rear disc conversion as you wouldn't have to change that out.12. Dash gauges mostly work. Fuel gauge is intermittent and odometer is not turning. - There are probably some more things that I haven't thought of but please ask any questions and I will answer them the best I can. The truck has a clean title in my name and has a current CA registration through 2020. - Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping but I will cooperate to make the process as easy as possible. Good luck and happy bidding.
