1963 Chevrolet Bel Air factory AC car. older restoration NICE This little car runs great. It has a 283 cu in V8 and Powerglide automatic transmission. It has the numbers matching motor and trans. The rear axle has been gone through ( new seals and bearings) as part of an earlier restoration. The engine holds 50 psi oil pressure at idle. Transmission shifts great and hums at idle like a powerglide should. Manual steering and good brakes. The former owner replaced the intake manifold with an Edelbrock Torker and a Ford 2 bbl carb thinking it would give him better gas mileage (????). The original intake and 2 barrel are included. He replaced the original points distributor with a new HEI from Summit. The original is also included. The only other change is to a Ford solenoid on the inner fender. Somehow it all works because it runs great and is fun to drive. To the best of my knowledge the mileage is 72. 00 miles This is a factory air conditioned car. The compressor is missing but everything else seems to be in place. This is an older restoration and it has spent it's life here in the high desert. The body work was done and new white paint applied. Almost all the Chrome was replaced or rechromed. The work was done for a high schooler who wanted the interior done in his school colors. Purple and gold (??). New upholstery. door panels and carpet. The headliner has one tear in it. The dash was painted by the last owner. All lights work and glass is great. I show the original bumper jack in the trunk. The bushings in the front end need to be replaced from age not use. This is a great daily driver. No. it's not a show car but it turns heads. causes lots of smiles and always draws a crowd in the Walmart parking lot. I included a lot of pictures so check'em out.
