Description of 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

Up for sale is my 1956 Chevy Bel Air 2dr. This car was restored and reworked maybe 20 or more years ago and It shows signs of wear and age. It looks really cool from 20 feet away then you can see the flaws when you get close. When this car was restored it was a very professional high end job. The paint is purple and blue with ghost flames. Paint needs work all around. The drivers door blew open by the wind so it is hitting the fender when you open it. The drivers glass is there and rolls up and down but is cracked. Most of the chrome seams to be in nice shape. Interior is in good shape but shows wear and tear. The shifter works but not as it should. The engine is a small block Chevy with aluminum intake, header, brass radiator, edelbrock carb etc. I don’t know what size the cam is or anything like that inside. Has double hump heads. Runs good but the headers have hit the ground too many times and the exhaust is leaking and loud. The trunk lock is missing. The car was lowered but here in New England with all the pot holes and uneven pavement it is too low and hit the headers. It should have shorty headers and that would solve the issue. The frame and floors are incredibly solid. The only real spot is in the trunk where the battery is now located. The front end is reworked and now has a rack. The car needs a bunch of little things like the brakes bled, the steering is loose and not exactly sure why. The tires have good tread but are old. The radio doesn’t work and I am sure some of the wiring will need some work. Gauges are all aftermarket and looks cool, not sure if they all work. Lots of work has been done to this car when restored years ago and was probably a 60k to 80k resto in today’s dollars. I do not have any paperwork on the build and the previous owner did not know either. This is a great car to take a weekend to do the stuff it needs to be a dependable driver and fix things all the other stuff while you are enjoying it. The car has Mass.title. The mileage on the odo is 16k and car is being sold true mileage unknown.
