1958 Chevrolet Apache 36 Tow truck Wrecker. Dual rear wheels. Big back glass, chrome bumper and grille, both original GM keys. 350 4 speed. PTO operated winch. Tow-Mater. Has original generator and it functions. This truck has been in Southern Missouri since 70s, not been driven since 1990. I got it 5 years ago, rebuilt carb, cleaned gas tank, new points, wires, plugs, fuel pump and sending unit. I also went through brakes and replaced everything. It does start, run and drive. Guageswork, all lights, bright light indicator, blinkers, wipers, dash lights. This is rat rod type truck for display or playing with. It has not been restored at all. Bottom of the doors rusted out, cab top by visors rusted. Floorboards are solid. Really neat truck. Tow equipment works too, PTO operated, hand clutch at rear, line lock brake. Widow-maker 16" wheels, I replaced tires, tubes and rim seals. 19" original spare included. I have clean Missouri title. Not interested in trades. Truck starts and drives, however I would recommend towing, I've driven it to town, 10 miles several times but it's farthest I've gone. It leaks oil, rear main? I have no history on engine, it runs thats all I know. Bid to buy, no nonsense please. Do not ask me endless questions if you have no plans to buy. Thanks Michael |
