It was originally from California and was restored there as well. The restoration was on a totally rust free body and frame. needing no sheet metal replacements. a slightly modified 350 c. i. Chevrolet V8 that has a four barrel Quadrajet carburetor that is mounted on an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. There are tubular headers that flow through an out the rear exhaust system. The transmission is a period correct three speed automatic. This stunning convertible is equipped with power steering and power brakes with discs up front and drums in the rear. The instrument panel has been updated with full aftermarket gauges including a tachometer. The Custom Autosound stereo system is complete with AM/FM and cassette and was installed without any modifications to the dashboard. The tires are B F Goodrich Radials with white letters and they are mounted on Eagle Alloy aluminum traditional appearing wheels. The odometer reads 11. 55 miles and this is believed the mileage since the restoration. The restoration was beautifully and accurately done to keep it totally original looking. The finish was extremely well done in addition to all of the chrome and stainless trim. Under the hood is clean and of show quality with chrome accessories. The top is as new along with the glass and all the rubber components. The interior was refurbished and remains as if it was just completed. Overall this Malibu is in fabulous condition and deserves to be maintained in the same fashion as the previous owner did. It surely can be an award winning show car. a cruise night vehicle or placed in a collection.
