Description of 1985 Chevrolet S-10 Pro-Street

This 1985 Chevrolet S-10 is more than just a lightweight truck with a 650 hp V8. It can almost go undetected as a cool little two-tone pickup, but if anyone takes a second glance, they'll see the bulging hood and huge rear tires that all announce that you're worthy of the street and dragstrip.

Park this S-10 among the big boys at the next cruise-in and see what happens. The sharp two-tone black and silver gives this truck a timeless look of quality. The chrome front bumper, a bright stock grille, and a tonneau over the bed are all part of a well-respected pickup package. However, few people are going to really want to talk about the paint and body. That big power bulge of the 3-inch cowl hood is an instant giveaway that you're bringing some serious muscle. And while the polished alloys neatly tuck into the bodywork, we can all see how deep they run inside the bed to deliver massive rear rubber for where the power meets the pavement.

Inside are the right stock pieces for a for a truck that's more than just a pure track machine. You get high-back bucket seats covered in a comfy velour. There are nice features like power windows, power locks, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. But this is a street machine, and so there are also the right performance upgrades. The Grant GT sports steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. There are the right auxiliary readouts cleanly mounted. And we know you spotted the large AutoMeter Sport-Comp tach with shift light that's prominently mounted in the center. It goes particularly well with the B&M shifter.

Underneath the hood is some serious power. The clean and means setup includes polished valve covers that announce this is a massive 496 cubic-inch stroker V8. It has all the right go-fast goodies, like aluminum heads, roller rockers, an Edelbrock Performer intake, and a large QFT 850 CFM four-barrel carburetor. There are also the right supporting components, like the MSD ignition, steel-braided lines, and an aluminum radiator. The full package is estimated to make 650 horsepower, and the thunder from the dual exhaust really lets everyone know it. The strong TH400 three-speed has a reverse manual valve body to make sure you have complete control over this monster motor. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch Detroit Locker rear end. The final step in this traction package is the set of extra wide Mickey Thompson rubber. These grippy and expensive tires working with the reinforced four-link rear end to keep you stuck to the ground like super glue. The total package is an extreme drag machine, but you can still hang a license plate on it. There are even features like power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes. That means you don't have to just trailer this one to the strip, and instead you can easily spend your Saturday nights cruising the streets for prey.

Complete with build receipts and restoration photos, here's a pickup that's not for the faint of heart. This is an amazing amount of power for a very affordable price. The first one here gets to be the new king of the streets. Call today!!!
