There was extra time, money, and effort that went into this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute to make sure you get plenty of cool and classic convertible style wrapped around a powerful big block package.
Chevrolet's Marina Blue always looks good on a convertible. It has the cool effect of an ocean wave. So it only gets better on an example that has been given a more recent professional respray of this factory-correct color. This makes for a high-gloss finish that you know will look terrific on a beach road (or just about any road where there's plenty of light radiating on this sunshine-friendly convertible.) And only adding to this car's radiance is the high-polish shine coming off of everything from the big chrome bumpers to the upgraded 17-inch Torq Thrust wheels. The dark engine bay funnels your attention to the boldly colored big block in the middle. While the bright Chevy orange might give this 396 cubic-inch V8 a stock first impression, a second glance reveals a bit more. After all, those cool ribbed valve covers with SS 396 callouts were never from the factory. Plus, this big block has extra performance from an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and shorty headers feeding the rumbling dual exhaust.
