Description of 1960 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

I've decided to cut this project loose. This has been a project for 4 years and sat idle for 1.5 of these years. I have had setbacks financially, setbacks on other vehicles I own and kids going to college. A resto project will have to wait for another day. Maybe you can take it over and make it your own.My original plan was to get this finished before kids went to college but hey, life gets in the way sometimes. I know, I know, guys have told me to just finish this and drive it. But after much consideration I need to cut my losses and move on. This is your chance to take over a value priced and well built project and turn it into a gem. This is a complete 1960 BelAir VIN # 01511A167323 made in the Atlanta assembly plant (which had recently been torn down). It was going to be a restomod and still is but, to get it the way I want it it would take another sizable chunk of cash to do the things I wanted to do. I have other priorities right now.I will be completely transparent in my costs and today I am only looking to recoup some of those major costs. I have close to $20K in the overall project (with receipts) and if you have ever done a full frame off project before you know that this isn't far off.I'll try and break it down for you:CHASSIS:All new:• springs rear• bushings front/rear• drum brakes rear• driveline / u-joints• disc brake conversion• front bushings• front springs• ball joints• lower a-arms• front shocksBODY• doors are ready for paint• decklid is ready for paint• hood needs some additional work• main body needs some addition bodywork on the lower portions around the rear fender wells• trunk seals need new metal fab•trunk pans need to be welding in place•custom frenched taillights are ready to be welded in.• 85% of the bodywork has been done. New metal in most cases, blocked and primed with a gray urethane blocking primer.ENGINE• I have a 1961 Chevy 348 W-Engine on the chassis currently. No miles. Completely reworked with all new parts inside. Running when purchased• New HEI distributor• New spark plugs• New radiator in the box• New radiator hose• New master cylinder and front disc brakes from CPP• New brake and fuel lines• New chrome alternator from Summit Racing TRANSMISSION• New Tremec TKO600 5 speed, never been run.INTERIOR• Dash has been restored• All new classic gages• New floor pans front/rear• Have seat frames (marginal shape)• Rear seat frames from an Impala with center speakerNEW PARTS sold with project• Windshield from #classicindustries• OEM Gas tank• Door mirrors• Carpet (black)• Engine starter• Box of X-mat for deadening noise• Full electrical wiring harness• Hurst shifter handle• Quick Time Bell Housing• Clutch disc and pressure plate• Clutch armMODS MADE• Windshield wiper delete• Heater delete• Center dash speaker delete• Rear turn signals and lights• Front Fender body line• Rear body lines• Tail light panel• Deck Lid lock delete (plan was to automate)THE GOOD • This could be a great project for someone who is willing to finish. It's a bit of a rare car in that you don't see many of these from 1960. You're getting a great value. My loss is your gain.THE BAD• I don't have all of the chrome parts that a purist restoration would need, which is another reason this was a restomod, it could be anything you want.• Rust, there was a lot of rust to overcome hence the new floors and trunk pans. Overall its back to a solid car after all the surgery.THE UGLY• I have most of the trim pieces but some are missing.• Parts... lots of parts and I have everything tagged and bagged. Some bolts and things may need to be replaced.THE DEALThere are a lot of things to consider that go into price and what is fair for both parties. I am ready to SELL. This starting bid price is my lowest offer. Its an ALL-IN PRICE and the engine/trans/bellhousing/clutch is $5600 alone. The buyer needs to know that you will need some metal forming tools, and welders to complete this project. I have invested close to $5000 in new tools just to do this project (not included), just know that a lot of the tough stuff has been done but you will most likely want to put your own spin on things.I have been a member of eBay since 1998. Check my profile. I am not a broker. I am the one who has done all the work that you see. No one knows the project better than I do. This just needs to go to a good home that can make it their own and produce an amazing car when its complete. I will do a PayPal deposit and a cash deal if you prefer. OR we will have to work out arrangements to pay in full via PayPal and the BUYER PAYS THE TRANSACTION FEES. The starting bid is the lowest I am willing to take with no reserve. I will let this auction run till the end please don't ask to close early unless you are prepared to pay 15% above the current bid price to end it early.I have over 800 photos of the process and what all has been done. It's a diamond in the rough and just needs a new home to finish her up. Click on the hashtag below for more pics.#60belairrestomodThanks for looking and reading this far...
