Description for Chevrolet Malibu 1972

Are you searching for a custom classic car that has incredible good looks, outstanding performance, and a classic car that is reliable enough to drive & enjoy to the fullest? I think I have just the car for you!
‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is happy to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1972 Chevrolet Malibu Custom Convertible! This car is pure eye-candy folks! The six-figure restoration was completed about six years ago, starting w/ a rust-free 1972 Malibu Convertible that was prime for a custom build. The entire body was block sanded, the door handles were shaved, flush handles were installed, and then the body was finished in classic Chevrolet Tuxedo Black base-coat/clear-coat paint, which was buffed & polished to a mirror-like shine. Stripes were added, which are correct ’72 Chevelle SS stripes but in ghost-stripe fashion, and look absolutely incredible on this car. They are very hard to see in the photos but they really add that special touch to the car when you get up close. All of the chrome pieces, bumpers, stainless steel trim, etc. is blacked out all of the way around the car, which gives this ’72 Malibu Convertible an ominous appearance to say the least. Of course, a brand new black canvas convertible top & boot were installed, which are in excellent condition. She has a perfect stance, and sits on Intro polished aluminum wheels (20” in the rear & 19” up front), wrapped w/ Falken FK 452 low-profile radial tires (275/35/ZR20 on the rear & 235/35/ZR19 up front). You can walk around this car as many times as you’d like and you will not find a bad angle. As I stated previously, she is pure eye-candy!
Open the driver’s door and you will find a 100% custom black leather bucket-seat interior that was designed for total comfort and complete functionality. Interior features include: custom black leather bucket-seats w/ matching door panels, custom black leather console w/ matching black leather shifter boot, cup holders & center console compartment, custom black leather dash w/ custom dash insert, full set of Auto Meter gauges, tilt-steering column w/ wrapped Billet Specialties 3-spoke steering wheel, power windows, billet door handles, billet power windows switches, billet power top switch, billet switch for electric cut-out exhaust system, Vintage Air Conditioning, Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT 7" In-Dash AV Receiver w/ Navigation, CD, DVD, iPod/iPhone Control, Bluetooth, Sirius, Pandora, etc., (2) Nertz speakers (mounted in kick panels), 10” Nertz subwoofer (mounted in trunk), black seats belts front & back, and plush black carpeting throughout. This custom interior is extremely comfortable w/ all of the creature comforts that you will ever need right at your fingertips. The trunk was finished beautifully to match the interior w/ the 10” Nertz subwoofer mounted on the side panel.
Now, let’s get to the heart of this beast, shall we?
Pop open the hood and nestled inside the nicely detailed engine bay resides a custom built fuel-injected 502ci BBC motor, featuring Brodix aluminum cylinder heads, Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum intake manifold, FAST fuel-injection system, Spectre dual-plenum air intake system w/ Spectre air filters, March serpentine belt-drive system, MSD 6425 Digital 6AL ignition control, MSD Blaster SS coil, black BBC valve covers w/ ‘Chevrolet’ logo, Vintage AC system, BeCool aluminum radiator w/ dual spal fans & billet overflow bottles, Ringbrothers hood hinges, custom-built headers, and custom-built 4” black ceramic exhaust system w/ electric cut-outs. This impressive BBC motor is linked to a 700R4 automatic transmission w/ overdrive, which feeds power to the asphalt shredding Ford 9” rear-end w/ 3.70 gears. Stopping power comes from the Wilwood master brake cylinder, and Wilwood disc brakes on all four-corners (12.38” 6-piston up front & 12.19” 4-piston on the rear). Handling is greatly improved due to the Heidts front control arms, Hybrid coil-over shocks up front, Hotchkis Sport Suspension in the rear, and Edelbrock rear shocks. She fires up instantly, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives, and performs beautifully! As you can imagine w/ the massive power-plant under the hood, she is very FAST, and an absolute BLAST to drive! Anywhere that you decide to go, there will be a crowd around the car within minutes.
Again, if you have been searching for a classic Chevrolet muscle car w/ all of the modern upgrades & custom features that you would ever want, it will be very hard to top this gorgeous 1972 Chevrolet Malibu Custom Convertible.
