Description of 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna |
The 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna is an interesting car that is basically a singular design. So when you can get this kind of distinction combined with plenty of V8 power and an upgraded plush interior, then it makes for a great package offered for a great price. This was the debut year for the Chevelle Laguna, and it ushered in a whole new style. The headlights are deeply sculpted into the design for an elegant look that also gives better definition to the line that starts in the fenders and runs all the way through the doors. More than just stylish, these were quite sporty, too. The front has almost seamless look as Chevrolet had a dent-resistant urethane front end. It was the one and only year this distinct look was offered, because bumper laws would significantly change it for 1974. The dual taillights that are recessed into the bodywork are also a touch unique to 1973. And while this gets its exclusive pieces right, there's plenty of custom flair, too. This has a newer application of shining silver paint. It makes for a great canvas for the contrasting matte black racing stripes. Plus, there's more sporty details, like the cowl hood, Centerline Champ 500 wheels, color-matched rear bumper, and louvered rear window setup inspired by the later legendary S-3 Laguna. The interior has the look of a nice investment while still offering classic style. For example, the front seat is still a bench. But now it has more individual bolstering, and even a fold-down center armrest. Plus, they upgraded the upholstery to a supple two-tone leather. Fresh carpeting, upgraded door panels, bow tie headrests, and a new dash cap add to an overall well-done feeling. The driver-oriented dash has a very classic look. There's even vintage details on display, like the factory air conditioning and AM radio (both will need some wiring before working again.) It all makes for a package that remains true to its roots while making sure it's also a nice place to spend some time. This coupe's distinct style continues under the hood. The bold block matches the accents on the Edelbrock valve covers and air topper. And they all get plenty of attention as it radiates nicely within the tidy and dark engine bay. This 350 cubic-inch V8 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and ceramic-coated long tube headers that add power while also contributing to the sweet rumble of the side-exit exhaust. All these recent investments mean you have a power package that fires up readily and runs strong. And features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front mean it's easy to enjoy this distinct coupe everywhere. The '73 Chevelle Laguna is a sought-after design, and this one really knows how to maximize that desire to the fullest. Call today!!! |
