Description of 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396

Real 138 Super Sport with #s match driveline and awesome factory colors. Documented with original window sticker, invoice, warranty booklet, owner's manual and copy of orginal title. High end body off frame rotisserie restoration, documented with pictures. Only 690 miles since completed, no expense was spared.
EXTERIOR: Factory Marina blue upper and lower, never had a vinyl top. The body is absolutely laser beam straight, it's like looking at a marina blue mirror. They claim it has it's original stamped sheet metal. No damage, no door dings, no bubbles, no cracks. The clear coat is polished like glass from top to bottom. Every single piece of chrome and trim on the exterior has either been restored or replaced. That includes the grill, emblems, stainless moldings, chrome vent window pillars, bowtie mirrors etc. Factory rear mount antenna. All of the glass has been replaced, it's soft rat tinted. Door jambs are restored- painted slick, new weatherstrips, window seals and sill plates. The rims were powder coated black, has pristine poverty hubcaps and reproduction Uniroyal redline tires.
INTERIOR: Stunning rare factory white interior car. Extremely rare factory headrests too. It is new from the carpet to the headliner. I'm looking at a perfectly restored dash area. It has the factory in dash gauges and the knee knocker tachometer. All the bezels, lenses, knobs, dash pad, heater control panel are pristine. The metal is painted a smooth satin black. There is a retro stereo in the factory hole with an auxiliary plug in the ashtray. The steering wheel is restored. Even up under the dash looks, new wiring harness. The center console is pristine, the clock is ticking, has the correct chrome shifter with the reverse lockout lever, the light at the back of the console works. The seats are reupholstered, the metal trim is painted white, has new chrome edges. Door panels, armrests, window cranks and handles are new. Carpets are new and there are accessory embroidered floor mats. Seat belts were added in the front. Overhead has new white headliner, fits tight as a drum. Matching new white visors, dome light works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching motor. We have receipt for a complete rebuild to 360 hp specs. Has correct numbered Holley carb. Detailed like the day it came out of the factory. Correct chromed valve covers and air cleaner lid. GM hoses with reproduction clamps. Correct spark plug wires, spring clamp battery cables and a Delco battery topper. Correct Harrison radiator with proper fan shroud and clutch fan. The alternator, wiper motor, brackets and pulleys look new. Squirters are hooked up. All new wiring harness. New cadmium plated brake booster and dual reservoir master. The engine bay is all smooth and painted satin black. Has the insulation under the hood.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Looks like brand new when you open this trunk. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are just as glossy as the outside of the car. Has new decals, weatherstrip and mat. The compartment has perfectly clean metal that's has a very neat spatter finish paint job. I looked inside the quarter panels and dont see any splices, they appear to be original. The spare is a matching painted rim and US Royal tire. The wiring harness to the taillights is new.
UNDERSIDE: Wow! The body was off the frame and flipped on a rotisserie so the bottom could be restored like new. The bottom of the body appears to have perfectly clean original metal that was painted marina blue and clear coated. The chassis was painted semi gloss black. The front end was completely rebuilt and detailed, even has assembly line markings. Rear suspension is new. It has the F40 special suspension which includes heavy duty springs, shocks and front sway bar. The bottom of the motor is spotless, has correct canister oil filter, new starter and fuel pump. Original Muncie M-20 4-speed dated to this car. The trans was rebuilt, clutch replaced and linkage is new. Original 12 bolt 3.31 posi rear. Brakes were completely restored. Upgraded to disc in front. New lines, hoses and e-brake assembly. All new fuel system including tank, straps, lines and sending unit. New exhaust with great sounding Flowmaster mufflers. Neatly bent, has turn down tips.
I looks like every part of this car down to the last bolt was restored and it was done right. I drove it home, it functions like new too. The colors are very desirable, how often do you see a white interior? The original documentation and #s matching make this an investment grade car. You are buying it far less then what the restoration would cost!
