Description of 1971 Chevrolet Nova Death Proof Tribute |
1971 Death Proof Nova Who wants to be Stuntman Mike for Halloween? The Nova is a 1971 2 door Coupe with what is believed to be 76K original miles. The car was sold new at Capitol Chevrolet in Hartford, CT and was discovered in the original owner’s garage in Hartford in 2017 after being off the road since 1990. I purchased the car in May 2019 and am the second registered owner. The car has the original 307 V-8, but the 2-speed power glide was upgraded to a TH350 and power steering and brakes were added. Has all original sheet metal and still even has original GM keys! The car was transformed into a Death Proof Nova tribute car in June 2019 and has covered approximately 6K miles touring parts of the US and Canada since being put back on the road. In case you're unfamiliar, Death Proof was a 2007 Quentin Tarantino movie starring Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike and the Nova was the hero car in the movie. The car was built by Don’s Speed Shop in Newington, CT…New England’s oldest speed shop. The perfect car and costume for Halloween, a Death Proof movie fan or just to own something interesting to drive to car shows and not park next to the same exact car. Connecticut does not issue titles for cars over 25 years old, so it will be sold with a bill of sale and a prior registration. Yes you can fly in and drive it home.
