This was the second year of the third generation Nova. It was the first year that it was just a Nova and not a Chevy II. The one we have for sale is a long way from a stock Nova. It has an L88 Big Block and has under gone a complete rotisserie restoration that is every bit as slick on the bottom as it is on the top. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and heartbeat of the Chevy. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. The body on this Nova is laser straight with good gaps and great body lines. The body is covered in the Tuxedo Black Paint is as good as you will see. It’s easy to see that this Nova was pulled a part and was on a Rotisserie when it was restored. The paint in the jams as well as in the trunk and under the looks great. They also painted and polished the floors. The bumpers as well as the other chrome all looks new. When you look at the grill and stainless it also looks new. You can tell that all the glass was removed when the resto was done. It has new window seals as well as all new weather stripping. The final exterior touch is the set of Gray coys with New Tires. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the ’69. Everything on the inside is as new as the exterior. It’s done in Red that is a killer complement to the black is guaranteed to garner plenty of attention. It has the stock bench seat and is new from the carpet to the headliner. When you look at the dash it has a new red dash pad with the instrument panel being correct. A set of under dash gauges and a custom grip steering wheel. It has the bench seat Hurst 4 Speed Shifter with boot. Finally we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it is all painted with polished inner fenders and firewall. The power comes from a ’69 model L88 427 GM Aluminum Head Big Block that is mated to a 4 Speed Muncie with a 12 Bolt Rear End. It’s dressed with an Aluminum Intake with the stock chrome valve covers and chrome top breather. This Nova has Power Disc Brakes and Manual Steering. When you look under this Nova it looks better than when it was new. It has polished floors with a new fuel tank. brakes. and fuel lines.
