Description of 1951 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

This 1951 Chevy was restored approx. 10 years ago and looks like whoever had it done spent a lot of money on it. It has a 235 engine, 12-volt, dual exhaust, Fenton manifold, electric windshield wipers that work well. Have replaced fan belt, points, condenser, dist cap, heavy duty spark plugs, two oil changes and added Lucas. Repaired emergency brake, valve cover gasket and side piston gasket, oil pan gasket and the rear main. Trans does have a small leak. Installed new brass radiator and replaced fuel pump. Shifts good, doesn't grind. Is clean and runs great. Compression 140/145 all cylinders. Has good power even when going up a hill. Interior and dash are in really good condition. Brake cylinders are in good condition, stops well and doesn't pull. Tires are older and have good tread. Has new rubbers. Has trunk and glove box keys, does not have key for doors and the key we were given didn't unlock the doors, the doors do lock. When I bought the car it did not have an ignition key but able to turn the ignition by hand to start. All gages work except the fuel gage. Horn (button under dash), lights, blinkers all work. The interior lights by the back seat don't work, might need bulbs. Chrome and stainless inside and out have been polished or replaced. There are a couple of small dings in some of the stainless. Stops, steers, drives really good. Car has not been lowered like most you see. Undercarriage is in good condition, does have 2 small rust holes on a bracket. The floors are good. Manufactured in Georgia and has been in Kentucky most of its life. We've had the car 2 years and have driven it over 400 miles locally. Car starts up fast, as soon as you touch the button. Mechanic says it looks like the motor has been rebuilt but we don't know how many miles ago. Looks like everything has been gone thru and redone probably when restored about 10 years ago or so. Under the hood is clean. The driver’s door has two small bubbles in the paint. Super nice car. Nicer than most I see at this price. It would cost about $30,000 to restore a car to this condition. There is a small tear on the back of the driver’s seat and on the back-passenger seat. Looks like someone put something back there that tore the upholstery. Headliner is in very good condition. Sold as is, where is. Will work with you if you want it shipped.
If serious and want to look at it, call landline (no texts) 909-788-3168. Car is located in La Verne, So Calif. We’ve sold approx. 13-14 classic cars on ebay in the past 20 years. Selling it because have problems with left foot and getting harder to use a clutch. May consider a trade for a late model, 30,000 miles, very clean, medium roof Ford van.
