1971 Chevrolet C-10 Up for auction is a perfect example of an original California black & gold license plate 71' C-10 Chevy short bed Stepside pickup. This truck underwent a complete frame-off, nut and bolt restoration 4 years ago with no expense spared. It looks and drives better than new! The frame was completely power-coated gloss black along with all the running gear, suspension components, radiator support, inner fender skirts, hood hinges, springs, and misc parts. The cab and truck bed were taken down to bare metal, prepped, primed and received a quality two-stage professional paint job. We added a gas cap door to eliminate the common fuel stains on the side of cab. All the weather-stripping has been replaced as well. New oak wood bed with polished stainless steel railings. Every suspension bushing, bearing, and rubber part is brand new. It has a custom Jaguar XJ rear end which gives the truck four wheel independent suspension. It handles excellent at any speed and makes for a very smooth ride. The truck drives very straight and there's no play in the steering wheel like many old trucks of this era. It's powered by a four bolt main 350-v8 engine and turbo 400 hydramatic transmission. The entire power-train has less than 1,500 miles since the restoration was completed. Starts right up on first key turn, engine has lots of power, and shift smoothly into all gears. It sounds amazing with long tube headers and a custom exhaust system. This truck is very easy to drive and comes with all the extras like power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes, and ICE-cold air conditioning. As you can see from the pictures the interior is in pristine condition as well. Everything has been replaced and detailed to perfection. Comes with a few extras like power windows and a custom sound system with hidden speakers. The stereo has a power antenna that retracts when you turn off the radio. The electrical system is in perfect working condition including all the gauges and lights. All the exterior trim is new and we added a few tasteful touches like the chrome tailgate, truck bed head board, and polished side steps. It's sitting on 15' chrome wheels with new Cooper Cobra tires. The only imperfection on the truck is some minor signs of surface weathering on some of the wood planks in the bed that can easily be refinished. The truck is ready to drive anywhere today.
