Description of 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L36

This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in silver over black and powered by a numbers-matching 427ci V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 3.70:1 Positraction rear axle. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ rally wheels, split chrome bumpers, pop-up headlamps, and a Delco push-button AM/FM radio. The car was acquired by the seller in 2017, and subsequent work consisted of refinishing the body and paint and refurbishing the gauges, center console, rear trailing arms, and lights. This Corvette convertible is offered with hand-written part number documents, dyno sheets, owner history, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The fiberglass body has been refinished in silver during current ownership. Features include a black convertible soft top, polished rocker trim, a performance hood, fender vents, twin front grilles, split chrome bumpers, 427 badges, dual exhaust outlets, and pop-up headlamps. The chrome and stainless trim has been refurbished.
The cabin features bucket seats reupholstered in black vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Features include a heater, polished door sills, crank windows, map pockets, and a Delco push-button AM/FM radio. The electric clock does not work, and the center console was refurbished during current ownership.
The numbers-matching 427ci V8 breathes through a Rochester four-barrel carburetor and features a chrome air cleaner lid, ignition cover, and valve covers. The engine was rebuilt and dyno sheets are included.
The stamping on the engine block pad ends in 414050, which matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s serial number. The IL suffix corresponds with a 427ci/390hp engine.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 3.70:1 Positraction rear axle. Both transmission and rear axle were rebuilt in the last year.
Complete restoration just completed a few months ago. I restored any area that wasn't correct and previous owner put all parts back to number correct such as alternator, distributor, carb and intake. Over 100K invested in the restoration.
